      Are they Muslim? Legit asking, I don't think they'd like the whole movie if so, just because Muslims are a little touchy at figures from the faith being depicted visually.

      @@nachgebenthey are Muslims from Sindhi, a part of Pakistan. They probably have a more secular or “live and let live” mentality when seeing any western media.

      Same with me. Whether I listen to it or sing the songs, I get goosebumps every time. I have listened to this many times throughout my life so far. It's that good of a soundtrack. But I love songs that do that to you, and only a few ever do that to me. 😊

    I've watched this movie a thousand times, with my kids. I could probably speak all the words and sing all the songs right along with the movie. It's been years since my kids have watched it, they're mostly grown now, but I still remember lol.

    I thought it would be a different song from Prince of Egypt. This one is not the best, in my opinion. The most impressive song from Prince of Egypt is Let My People Go.
    Only you need to know the story to understand the song.
    I'm not sure if Muslims are aware of Biblical stories. I'm not Christian or religious at all but I found the song touching.
    The Prince of Egypt is about a Pharaoh adopting a son who later returned to his tribe. Jewish people were slaves in Egypt.
    The Biblical story is about the plaques that God sent to Egypt and Jewish people escaping with Joseph, a Pharaoh's son, leading them out of slavery and out of Egypt.
    I knew of the story for a long time and never thought twice about it but that video and soundtrack make you feel emotional.

      The Quran incorporates the Bible, just like the Bible incorporates the Torah as the Old Testament
      If I remember correctly, the story of Moses is in there. In fact, Moses is the most prominent Prophet within the Quran. Like, Muslims are meant to hold all Prophets (except for Muhammad who is placed higher) to the same regard, but, Moses is seen as an almost exact parallel to Muhammad

    • @erenjeager5290
      @erenjeager5290 2 месяца назад

      All people of the abrahamic faiths agree on the Old Testament stories with very little differing events. The main continuity issue is with prophet Jesus ad his purpose/ divinity. That gets all three of us into a useless discussion.

      @My Real Life I must confess that I haven't seen the movie, but I do know that it's based on the life of Moses and that he is considered to be a prophet or holy man in not only the Christian Bible, but in the Torah and the Qurán as well.
      I actually wish they'd have told Naveed and Mansoor that the shepherd was Moses because I think it would have made an even deeper impression on them. It's possible that the producer didn't know that, though. 😊

      @Antonio-Gransci I see where you're coming, but this story belongs to both traditions pretty much equally. It's one of the most important stories to both Jews and Christian alike. You only have to ask a group of both and see what I mean.

    • @boazmunro478
      @boazmunro478 10 месяцев назад

      @@jenniferhiemstra5228 I don't think saying "equally" is really right here. Jews wrote the story, and it constitutes a much more central part of our tradition. It's the founding myth of our nation. Christianity grew out of Judaism, used our scripture, added to it, and reinterpreted it, but I think its Jewish origins and its centrality to the Jewish people should be respected. - Your Jewish brother

      al-qur’an also derived from torah, mazmur, and bible. you can find moses story in al-qur’an. but there a different version, in al-qur’an the woman that find moses in river is not ramses mother, but ramses’s wife. so ramses is father non-biological of moses
