    I guess I don't understand. It's a bike and you have all that weight with the big battery and 6kw motor. Why not put it on a frame more designed for the extra weight and speed like a small motorcycle frame? I just don't think it will hold up very long.

    It looks like a great kit, though have you considered making a 48 volt 20 amp, 1000 watt brushless mid drive kit that can also be mounted in front of the back wheel on cargo bikes? (like Yuba Mundo and xtreme bikes). I am also looking for something that i can program from the LCD screen like you can with hub motors.like conhis.. the problem is. i got burnt by them and am reluctant to get anything else after spending so much on things that don't fit my bike properly or have always came problems..

    you should make a detailed video that shows how to apply this ebike kit on a regular bike. This will make a lot more people buying your ebike kits... because I'm quite sure a lot of people are not educated good enough in technical means to do this conversion and most potential buyers probably are afraid that after buying the kit they won't be able to apply it on their own.

    Cycle analyst V.3 is connected with a molded shunt resistor with the batteries cables that end up to cyclone controller. Cyclone controller dont have a cycle analyst plug. There are too many watt meters in the market.
    Also if cycle analyst is connected to controller it can show different numbers
    The wh/km at speeds of 50km cannot calculated exactly because the 6000 watt motor of cyclone when you touch the throttle gives too high power so in a flat road you can open and close the throttle.

    I want to convert to mid, get about 15% or more in speed _and_ battery life.

    @TheHadri81 8 лет назад

    Hello, the bike looks good to walk bravo!
    How do you do that the pedals do not turn when you activate the motor without pedaling? Is there a freewheel system? What use it? I thank you in advance if you take a few minutes to answer me. Hadrien

    • @georgekontopoulos
      @georgekontopoulos  8 лет назад

      Hadrien Fuentes The front triple chain wheel on bottom bracket has freewheel and also motor has a chainwheel with frewheel.
      So in case we run out of battery the bike moves without friction from the motor and other electric parts. Although it has a better weight.
      YES the bicycle moves as i want. If i need just to pedal i can. If i need just the motor to work as video shows i can without move the pedals

      Nazir BAIYANTE the Cyclone 6000watt and 8000 watt motors are silent motors. See thge video at 6:35 of the video that only the microphone of the camera on the motor works. It makes a little noise only in the start when you drive you hear only the wind

      Ratted bug you can see the price here:
      www.turbobikekit.com/cyclone-bike-kit/cyclone-6000-electric-bike-kit-48-72-volt
      About the range of the electric bike: This depends form a lot of factors as weight, winds, tarmac, tyres pressure, type of tyres, uphill, downhill, traffic lights etc. I can tell you for sure that with 12Ah 48v nominal battery i had made 16km with econimical driving and not full throttle

    • @georgekontopoulos
      @georgekontopoulos  9 лет назад

      Dear ***** i think that the Bottom Bracket isnot fit well. We had tested alot of km the 3chainwheel cyclone 1680watt and it was fine. If your bearing isnot right or the BB you should check it out.
      Now about the 1680watt motr. This is a geared motor and tthe power at 0-10km/h acceleration it is around the same with the 6kw kit. The higher loads go to BB when the kits are accelerating 0-10km/h and also if they start at uphill. So the 6kw Bb can handle really good the acceleration, thats why we have fit a 2nd camera on the video
      But if you need please sent us a link or photo to check the BB case.
      Thanks

      The first thing I noticed (after my impression about the speed of the bicycle) was that the rider didn't wear a helmet and that he is driving between the lanes (common in Greece).
      Living in Holland the past 9 years, and seeing how bicycles and motorcycles drive in Greece is just horrifying.
      I don't want to speak about the company, but safety is a first priority guys.
      And let us remind: ο πελάτης έχει πάντα δίκιο (μελλοντικός πελάτης γαρ) ;)

    Its fast enough that you need some serious brakes. The squeaky things on there now are not adequate. Aside from that I'm impressed with the speed. How many miles are available on a full charge, and how long to re-charge?

    • @georgekontopoulos
      @georgekontopoulos  9 лет назад

      jmshaw357 Serious brakes have now been attached on the bike. A lot of brakes have been tested and only hydraulic brakes with bigger diameter of 200mm can handle that speed. With 2* 48v nominal 12Ah = 48volts 24Ah battereis we can take 35km in a flat road with a average speed of 50km/h. Rechargable time is 1.5 hour for 1 battery and 3.5hours for 2nd battery because we have 1 slow and 1 fast charger. If lifepo4 batteries take high Amps charging they wont have the same lifecycle

    Nice bike! My main question is reliability of 6kw and 8kw motor! How many mile do you have on it? What other users get for reliability miles? Thank you. Do you ship to Russia?

    • @georgekontopoulos
      @georgekontopoulos  9 лет назад

      Rs Anton The 6000watt and 8000watt kits are electric motors are excellent. More than 5000km have been made with the 6kw kit and works as new. Yes we ship to Russia and worldwide, thank you

    and what's the range?

    • @georgekontopoulos
      @georgekontopoulos  9 лет назад

      walter bishop Range will be around 12km with a lifepo4 battery 12Ah , 20Ah =20km and higher voltage gives higher range and power. Also depends on economical driving or full throttle , weight, tarmac, tires, uphill road etc

    $2000 in battery cost! I need to make a 7500W bike one day with this motor.
    Until I do, I'll just have to enjoy my 3000W Cyclone.

      Terrific! Also I'm wondering how much juice these babies can take. How much voltage can overtake these motors? If I build a 81V for the 8000W model with a proper BMS would this motor benefit for it or is it too risky because overheat or other problems?

    • @georgekontopoulos
      @georgekontopoulos  8 лет назад

      85kw kit and motor is ot a gered - small motor. So you will not have a problem with overheat. We have not seen any problem with 8kw kits, they are really good.
      Manufacturer gives the 8kw kit with 48-72v controller, so at 72volt nominal you will have around 81-82volt real fully charged if you have a lifepo4 battery pack. This kit also works max at real 100volt.
      Please see our next video on top speed higher than 100km/h to see the Amps discharge rate on cycle analyst

    • @gabegartzia3290
      @gabegartzia3290 8 лет назад

      george kontopoulos I did see your video twice but I didn't see the discharge rate actually I was thinking on making it Li-Ion rather than LiFepo4. it'll be my first time building one (I plan on doing it triangular, hence why I don't want to buy it already made) and I see Li-ion is cheaper than the others. also I haven't found a decent dealer for these yet!
      I'll be buying you a kit soon.

    • @georgekontopoulos
      @georgekontopoulos  8 лет назад +1

      All ebike Batteries have 3 characteristics.
      Ah , bigger number for Ah give higher range.
      Voltage, bigger number give power and top speed
      C discharge rate which give higher Amps discharge rate. Thsi kit requires battery with minimum 8C,
      that means that at 48v 10Ah battery you can discharge 80Amps
      A lot of clients buy cheap batteries which can not give the required Amps discharge and they need to buy
      another nedw battery. So please be careful on this, battery is your fuel

    Ultimate death machine. Guaranteed to shorten your life. The brakes on even the best mountain bikes are barely adequate to pull you up. When you reach speeds exceeding your own peddle power you won't pull up very quick in an emergency. Would be good for wide open areas though.
