The Narwhal is liked because it has the Reactor with the most Hull by a large margin. Yes it has 36 instead of 40 power, but some people prefer Hull to Reactor Power.
Instead of getting the galbank, I would say just go to Serpentis and get the Revelation there, same ship and no bounty. Also, if you really like the Narwhal design, just look for a Crimson Wrath, it is the Orca which is the base model fro the Narwhal, just add the reacton, grav drive and the Nova Galatic weapons slot for the nose.
And weapons. Those 3 are what makes or breaks a ship. You could get a tiny A ship and deck it out with the best grav, reactors, and weapons and it would carry you through the game. Lol But buying a ship allows you to work off of that platform instead of building from 0.

Keep in mind in order to upgrade ship command it CANNOT be a pirated ship. You can still 'build-a-ship' but it CANNOT be something you took over by force or swiped it from a civilian/ landed UC ship etc.
I never thought the narwhal was that good. I built up a prophecy and I spent less than 300k and it's way better than the narwhal could ever be. I bought the deimos phalanx, because I loved the look and spending less than 200k and it's better than the inflated price on the narwahl
Neither ship has the best reactor in the game. The best reactor has 40 power. I can build a better ship than both of them by simply going to Titan and buying the cheapest ship as the base of my build. So around 35k for the ship and add in what ever parts I want. Besides that captured/stolen ships have issues when it comes to leveling Ship Command skill. None of your kill in one of those ship will count. It has to be a mission reward or a bought ship for the kills to count.
Reactors are also the main factor of you hull pool, theres a 36 power reactor with 1950 hull, its 600 hull above any other reactor, so, "best reactor" may not be the one with highest power, 36 power plus skills is all i need for 3 maxed systems and still have some power to play around.
Man this ship command skill "bug" is bad, just got the skill and tested it, killed 2 ships and boarded a 3rd one and none counted to the skill challenge. Good thing i still have the upgraded star eagle, looks like ill have to stay in this ng+ for a litle longer.

Got a phantom ship (Class A 20 power) at lvl 6 and used it untill lvl 16 when i traveled to serpentis system and got a prophecy II with class C reactor and 30 power, best deal ever. Have never bought an ship.
Stormrider II is actually not that great. I need the room for crew. That 4 reactor difference means something. That Va'ruun ship he grabbed was still not great... So far this looks like a great guide to get really high tier ships by pirating.
Yeah - I haven't bought any ships from vendors. Just used the Star Eagle/ Mantis until I made enough credits and leveled up enough to be able to build the ships I wanted.
Here's my question. Once you have mastered both the Piloting Skill and Ship Design, not to mention max out the reactor skill, does any of this really make any difference? Even before you reach level 60 (to unlock all the ships and items), you can take almost any C-class ship and make it a very high-performance killing machine.
Hey Nathan, if you are not playing on very hard NG+, you don’t really need those =]. If you are however, then you do need them because space combat get really difficult
@@deanpogaming Yeah, when I started out playing on hard or very hard (I have not started NG+ as of yet because I explore the shit out of the map), I found that to be true. But after I began to level up (I'm at 41 presently) and get used to the flying mechanics and what weapons do well and weapons that have no effect, I found that ship-to-ship (s) has become more manageable.
no you get to level 5 then raid ships from the area you when second as its a good leveling area and plenty of ships spawn there ive had razor leaf with class c reactor and weapons fight there for fun and i got 6 ships in ten mins all class c and far better for your money then any brought ship as buying ships seems to be bad idea as unless you cant get them anywhere else your better of stealing a ship and pimping it up rather then but a prebuild ship as there all ass
Aside from spending the money which you do anyway when you buy a pre-made ship, I don't get why someone wouldn't want to make a ship on their own. Piecing together the best parts and designing a ship yourself is one of the best aspects of Starfield.
Besides showing youself over the most important info, nice video. Verry helpfull. But I don't wanna fight UC at all. I realy don't like the layout for the Prophecy, nor do i for the Narwal. Got to see your blackbird though.

When i was doing my run up to ng+ 10 I just go to serpentis and get a varuun litiny or crimson fleet wraith 3. Either one is better than the starborn guardians and capable of doing everything you need
Think people probably mean it's the best base game ship, anybody can steal a ship and make it better than that, christ , my ships cargo capacity is over 40 thousand and will obliterate any in game ship. Not really hard to build better than base game ships.
When the game first released I bought that flying afterbirth, then soon to my discovery there are ships 10× better for free . Then people were saying all it's great on other channels which I had to tell them the truth, let's say that did not go over well . Idiots saying that this ship is great better find a psychiatrist.
I made the mistake of spending the coin on a Narwhal my first play through. Very mediocre ship, and I hated the layout. I did love the look of it, though. If I was talented at ship building, I'd make my own Narhwahl, but use the best components.
I'm not going to suggest that the Narwhal is a bad ship. I am just not a fan of Taiyo's aesthetic. Plus, I like to roll my own. I have only ever purchased one ship (Stronghold) and that was right before finishing the main quest. I was less impressed with it after buying it and tearing it down. So the upshot is that I just capture ships and build from there. I wouldn't buy the Narwhal, even if it were the best pre-built in the game.

Got a phantom ship (Class A 20 power) at lvl 6 and used it untill lvl 16 when i traveled to serpentis system and got a prophecy II with class C reactor and 30 power, best deal ever. Have never bought an ship.
Just look at the hull on the reactor on the narwhal
The lamp on your desk looks like you have a real-life can of Blend on hand.
Prophecy looks ugly. Like a square frying pan
Stormrider II is actually not that great. I need the room for crew. That 4 reactor difference means something. That Va'ruun ship he grabbed was still not great... So far this looks like a great guide to get really high tier ships by pirating.
Hijack a random pirate ship, make an outpost & a shipbuilder platform, make the best ship ever.
Yeah - I haven't bought any ships from vendors. Just used the Star Eagle/ Mantis until I made enough credits and leveled up enough to be able to build the ships I wanted.
Ty for the video. It's the first time on your channel. Awesome content ty 🎉
Thank you for the kind words, welcome to the community 🙏
Used the Narwhal but not impressed too much. Kelper r is good for a free ship but sooner or later start building ships that outmatch most
no you get to level 5 then raid ships from the area you when second as its a good leveling area and plenty of ships spawn there ive had razor leaf with class c reactor and weapons fight there for fun and i got 6 ships in ten mins all class c and far better for your money then any brought ship as buying ships seems to be bad idea as unless you cant get them anywhere else your better of stealing a ship and pimping it up rather then but a prebuild ship as there all ass
Aside from spending the money which you do anyway when you buy a pre-made ship, I don't get why someone wouldn't want to make a ship on their own. Piecing together the best parts and designing a ship yourself is one of the best aspects of Starfield.
How do I find or learn special powers without going to new game plus? Very cool freezing skill
Besides showing youself over the most important info, nice video. Verry helpfull. But I don't wanna fight UC at all. I realy don't like the layout for the Prophecy, nor do i for the Narwal. Got to see your blackbird though.
I bought the ship just to see what it’s like
You cannot shoot through ladders.
I just use a Claymore 3 until I can get the top Valentine.
The only good ship is like pretty much a custom ship that you I'm going with C-Class ships I would say are the best ships in the game avoid using a and b because their dog shit
400k is nothing earn that in a few days and I'm not cheating.
I've never bought any ship and we don't need do it.
Who buys ships? That’s just weird. You want a ship, go where they fly.
When i was doing my run up to ng+ 10
I just go to serpentis and get a varuun litiny or crimson fleet wraith 3.
Either one is better than the starborn guardians and capable of doing everything you need
100%… Starborn guardian ships are shocking
My favorite is the Wraith III as well
Ships named after a type of whale wont be fast lol
😂😂😂😂😂
Think people probably mean it's the best base game ship, anybody can steal a ship and make it better than that, christ , my ships cargo capacity is over 40 thousand and will obliterate any in game ship. Not really hard to build better than base game ships.
100% John, blows my mind people actually buy ships when you can build a cracker one for 430k lol
When the game first released I bought that flying afterbirth, then soon to my discovery there are ships 10× better for free . Then people were saying all it's great on other channels which I had to tell them the truth, let's say that did not go over well . Idiots saying that this ship is great better find a psychiatrist.
100%
How to do what u did with a lvl 5 character? Thx in advance!
Hey mate, I will be doing a level 1 - 30 guide in the upcoming days =)
@@deanpogaming looking forward to the guide! THX!
I just bought mine for 350,000
How is Veronica NOT Andreja? 2:33
People buy pre builts o.O ?
What gun is that you’re using?
Eternity Gate
Did he post the Blackbird build?
m.ruclips.net/video/K_xVggIpMyo/видео.html … from 6:40 onward. Will do a detailed build tomorrow as well =]
I made the mistake of spending the coin on a Narwhal my first play through.
Money isn't a problem in this game so why make a 20 minute video that saves you money??
Why not?
@@jimrobinson4755 it's just complaining for the sake of complaining, old man yelling at the cloud. Let the people who bought narwhals have their damned ship with pride this video is 100% unnecessary.
Do you have build guild for your blackbird ?
m.ruclips.net/video/K_xVggIpMyo/видео.html 6:50 onward but I will also do a detailed one tomorrow =]
What mistake? You mean buying the game?😅
Just jocking. Quite mediocre game, but ship building one of few things that I've liked in game
I just wanted more fallout (not 76) 😂😭
@@deanpogaming same. Or tes. The idea of starfield not bad, but poorly implemented.
first to see…..34 seconds after post lol
Love it
A what ? Never heard of it. Who dfq even cares about them prebuild ships ?? 😃😂🤡 never bought any stupid ship thry sell.. NO ONE can build it better than I can do it for my self as I want it. 😉
