You mention a 42" bar. Which mill are you using? the 36 or the 48". I guess what I'm wondering is if you can use a 42" bar on the 36" granberg mill.

Hi Mike, I use the 48" Granberg mill. Yes you could absolutely us the 42 " bar on your 36" mill. You would need to remove the safety plate for your saw tip. The big benefit of a 42" bar on the 36" mill is your maxing out your cutting width to the full 36".
