I absolutely love your blanket! The colors are so very beautiful together. If I made that I would have 3 granddaughters wanting it for sure. I've been commissioned to make a hat, scarf & fingerless gloves set in black & violet using the star stitch. I'm working on the hat right now. I made strips for a mile a minute blanket and have 3 extra strips so, I'm using those to make a scarf and using the extra yarn to make a matching hat. If I have enough yarn I will make fingerless gloves. I just made a pair of Valentine gnomes. First amagarumies in ages, they turned out cute.

I haven't been crocheting as much as I'd like lately, but today I'm experimenting with free-handing amigurumi dolls.. it's not going that well. maybe not a good idea to be so ambitious when I'm feeling creatively stunted but following any pattern right now feels worse for some reason...my focus is very scattered. It was no nice to see you posted today, and I'm glad you finally got a new feeding tube, although was sorry to hear about your struggles getting it changed.. that sounds so painful! how awful. it's a health care professional's job to continually learn from work experience too. i hope they learned from your pain what not to do on future patients. Kayla, I’ve been watching you for a few months. You are an amazing woman, you give so many of us inspiration. You do great work! I’m working on a blanket right now for my little grandson that will arrive end of May.
I just love seeing you get so much satisfaction and enjoyment from your projects and I can't help but wonder why viewers think it is ok to have opinions about everything and anything other than the crochet! You handle them well- I would not be so patient with them! But of course that is what makes you special- being able to subtly put people in their place if needed, being empathetic to those who need it, being familial to those who need it, being an educator to those who need it, being honest to those who need to hear it. I love your wisdom as much as your crochet. Stay as well as you can, keep posting, keep motivating, and may it be many many many years before your beautiful sons fight over this blanket (and all the other projects that will come to represent part of you that they want to hold tight forever). I am using DK weight yarn. I am happy with it but it is definitely not growing as fast as yours. It will be a smaller version. Sending you prayers. Above all else you take care of yourself.

I live in Georgia and all you have to say is the s- word and theirs a panic run on groceries,gas and schools start getting out early or closing for the next day. My port and the temporary/ permanent ostomy bag is on the left side.🤦♀️ And I sleep on my left side also. Prayers for whatever is going on that you’re going through.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. I feel for you Kayla, I take the same medication and it makes me very sleepy too, I told my daughter I feel like I have narcolepsy when I take that medication because sometimes I drop off to sleep without realizing it until I wake up several minutes later, so I can't drive while taking it either! So sorry you had a bad time having your tube changed. I just wanted to tell you that I’ll be praying for you. I pray that they find out why you are loosing weight so rapidly. I’m not pushing religion on you or anyone else but I believe in the power of prayer. I pray that your surgery goes fine. I love your blanket. I started crocheting three years ago after I retired. I prefer to make blankets. I have made a few granny squares blankets for myself and family members. I’ve made a few baby blankets. I was very sick back in August. I was intubated for 6 days and spend 8 days in ICU 19 days in total in the hospital. I was diagnosed with ANCA Vasculities, had double pneumonia and Covid. Like you I was loosing weight. I went from 178 to 148 pretty quick, when I was discharged in September I was 124 pounds. I weight 138 pounds now and walk with a walker. Your videos have helped me a lot. May God bless you.

I am working on Sophie's Universe blanket. I had to take two days off as the pain in my head wouldn't allow me to work on it. But I'll be back at it tonight. I'm on section Six.
Your Sophie is so bright and cheerful. I wanted to use “ I Love this yarn” for one of my Sophie’s and I may someday. I went to the closest Hobby Lobby’ to me, (36 miles) before Christmas and the yarn section was bare. They had 2 shopping carts on the yarn isle with yarn it but it had been picked thru and the skeins were stringy so I just left. I ordered from JoAnn’s and Premier but the yarn is not as soft. I laughed when you said “yall come back now”! Coming from Central Texas, I have always been kidded about my SOUTHERN accent. Even from people who live in South Texas kid me about it. I was in a chat room recently and as I was leaving the room I heard a comment about it and it wasn’t a bad comment but from someone I had never met in person, it was hurt, I just ignored it. Anyways, I am doing the Sophie’s blanket. I actually started 3 of them. I am on part 3 of all of them but I am losing my CRO-JO because it’s too stressful for me. So I started a C2C blanket to work on and I am only going to concentrate on 1 Sophie at a time. It’s not a race and I will get them done, one at a time. When I am able too, when my health issues allow. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!! I pray you have a great day today!! ❤❤❤🧶🧶🧶
I am working on the flying pig with the heart sunglasses that I showed in my last vlog. 😂 You are one amazing lady. Only once did I lose 20 pounds in a month because every time I tried to eat my stomach would seize up and I would get horrible pain. That was scary so I cannot imagine how you feel. I'm making a baby blanket using Bag O Day Crochet 's ( Crystal) block stitch pattern. I love that stitch, so simple. I hope you feel better Kayla. Love the Sophie 's blanket so far. Im so sorry you have to deal with so much. Its so hard to do anything when your sick. Over the years,I have taught myself to crochet and knit laying flat on my back..even though i was very sick i wasn't about to give up my crafts!

I agree Kayla, there are some things I just don't personally know about the things I do to/ for patients. Do you keep liquid Maalox at home, it does neutralize stomach acid quickly, even on skin( I hear). Glad you got a new tube. I'm also glad you are getting your port. If they don't want you losing weight, they can adjust your formula type and amts. Geeze, your tube fed, they shouldn't be giving you a hard time. Your blanket is gorgeous. I adore the colors.
