I dropped 3 stones near Igon because he looked like he was in pain and nothing happened. I felt so disappointed.
I DID THE SAME LMAO
I don't think it would've done anything when the man lost his legs and arms
I did the same thing LMAO.
On my first encounter with him near the Castle Front, he talked about pain etc so I kept looking at him for some time and threw an warming stone at his feet, waited 30 seconds for something to happen
I cast a healing spell on him to see if it would do anything. I also cast a healing spell on the animals down near St. Trina, not realizing that they’re put to sleep and not hurt. Maybe you can cast Lord’s Aid on them?
Me too and then you're sitting there like "this guy gotta be faking after that.."
The only kindreds of rot I don’t wanna burn alive.
Technically, they are officially called Forager Brood.
@@ShinigamiRaziel the forager brood are a subsect of the servants of rot. Theyre kind of like a club in a club.
@@ShinigamiRazielErm actually alert
I KILLED ONE BY ACCIDENT
I ONE SHOT IT BEFORE I REALIZED HE WAS A FRIEND
THEN I HAD TO PUT DOWN MY FRIEND MOORE BECAUSE HE DIDN'T LIKE IT
@@PapaZoro001 an understable mistake. Unfortunate, but understandable!
Hours I’ve played Elden Ring = 160
Times I’ve used a warming stone = 0
I am pretty sure all consumables in FROM games are just for collecting stacks
I was using healing spells and nothing happened. Didn’t even think about using warm stones 🙃
Same I even tried a spell to lift ailments
Funny, I _did_ have the idea to use a warming stone... on Igon. It didn't work.
yeah, i even hit igon with the healing spells.
Huh, my comment disappeared.
Fromsoft game design, more holes than a cheesegrater
The joy i felt to figure out this puzzle within a minute. Then, I was disappointed that it didn't work with Igon the Ballin.
I mean he's shivering like he's cold. Using warming stone is kinda logical.
Yeah noob.
He’s just tweaking bro
But they’re weak to fire…
I thought it was asleep.
@@joeking6972humans are also weak to fire, doesn’t mean we don’t get cold.
I did figured this out and got no medal 😂
But I kept throwing them in case it stood up or something after a few. It doesn't.
The Empire thank u for your service. Here is your Medal 🎖
Ur supposed to reload the area and come back
Also if Moore is still in his spot he will give you a new cookbook and a wonderous little berry for Torrent. I won't spoil what it does.
Wow. Didnt expect anything other than cookbooks... Shadow of the cookbooks
Yes, because we want to put something meaningful behind this puzzle that nobody will ever see
Meanwhile me over here out of habit thinking it’s an enemy accidentally killed it because I one shot it.
I felt so sad after I did it realising my mistake too
Theres 2 of em not just the 1 in video i accidentally killed mine 2 but found the other 1 and you can still get cookbook than kill that 1 to, and if you missed the tanky dudes armor he wiĺl invade yiu at that point, kill him for best shield and armor.
Yep, I hated these guys in the base game so I loaded up my giant crusher with royal knights resolve, heavy charge attack thinking it was an enemy… immediately got invaded by Moore 😂
Same. I didn’t realize it would jeopardize Moore’s questline entirely. 😅
I bet the person who figure it out just accidentally pressed the button to drop it
Been using them all the time since entering the dlc, not enough from healing flasks
Also there is one that's inside the dirt upside down...
nope i didn't press a button on accident, i'll be taking the medal though
I figured it out myself it just makes sense
I instinctively attched them and the npc invaded me...
You monster
I had no idea that was a thing. I know the NPCs said "don't attack the foragers", but I would never have guessed they meant the rot kindred! Glad I'm the type of player who looks and assesses the situation first, so I saw the player messages around the kindred saying "friend...?"
@@conspiracypanda1200 I luckily never attacked them but I did jump a little when I checked out a cliff just to suddenly see them at near point blank range. I thought at first it didn't notice me then I saw it just seemed to be digging and was also not targetable.
@@conspiracypanda1200 Exactly my thought, I was sure its some humans, shadow people or misbigotten but nope. Kindred of rot, and that was before I even knew they are in the DLC.
I found the one immediately at the start of the DLC, he gave me an item. So when i found this guy all curled up with cuts on him, i figured id just throw a stone there and see what happens. I love this game. And well still be finding stuff for the next 6 months.
Where can I find this brood? I got past the great rune shattering on one of my characters, so Moore isn't there anymore. I'm hoping to do this with another one of my more consumable oriented characters though.
@@Mrhellslayerz I believe this particular guy Is to the north of shadow keep. At the chalice of something I forget the name. You have to kill the fog boss on the boar to gain access (not the golden boar)
@@chrisxl5152 Thanks mate
@@chrisxl5152 What golden boar ?
@@Ron_Jambo_ - He probably meant not the Golden Hippo. But the boss he's referring to is Commander Gaius.
Aaaand I missed all but one of these due to quest progression. If anyone’s wondering, these cookbooks give access to the pickled livers… which are stronger versions of dried livers, though I don’t know by how much.
The best part is the last cookbook you can get from Moore himself, after collecting all other books. It gives you receipt to feed Torrent with a new food
@@funguy398That's where you get that!? Even though I basically have infinite Rowa fruit I've been looking for that damned book to get Torrent's heals up! (Am I the only person who actually heals Torrent?)
@@conspiracypanda1200 yes
@@conspiracypanda1200 Yes 100%
@@conspiracypanda1200i didnt even knew you could do that
I actually love all the little interactions and puzzles you can do using items or gestures. Maybe if there were more of them they wouldn't feel so weirdly obscure...
Theirs a message next to it saying heal I put it their
C O O K B O O K ! ! !
Jesse, we have to cook(book)!
When found this I tried using a healing spell but it didn't work, so I moved on. Seems like an oversight :(
I wish I knew these were the forager brood, I panicked thinking they were the pests and killed them, which procced Moore into ambushing me.
Dude i found that thing and killed it, wondered why it didnt fight back, then ignored them for the rest of the game. Moore told me a brood had been killed and i had no clue who he was talking about lol
Did the exact same. Spent ages searching around for who died and couldn't find an answer. I assumed the forager brood was just the NPCs that spoke to you and I missed one.
Huh? Did you guys not get invaded by Moore the moment you killed this guy? I killed this guy and got immediately attacked by Moore for it. When I defeated him and went back to his spot, he was dead, and I got his bell bearing.
@@martinbezdicek2051 nope. Weird
I was jumpy too, but DS3 Ringed City taught me that damn near everything can be an npc. Good way to check is if you can lock on, and if it reacts to your movements.
@@martinbezdicek2051 exact same thing happened to me
oh thank god another cookbook 😂
fr
another cookbook. Do you think we need more? YES sir
Figured this one out after seeing the healing messages and being stumped for tens of hours… very cathartic moment
its software advertises that they give them a YT creator partner road map there is no way to figure it out very quickly
I thought he was an enemy.. I snuck behind and charged R2
This, is a tragedy..
oh here a cookbook and another cookbook
I thought he was just sleeping.
Ode to those who got nothing when they did that and were sorely confused.
You have to quit and go back or rest at a grace
I killed it with no hesitation. I was exploring early game and when I spotted this fella I was like: Aint noooo way the servants of rot are here, better do a sneak attack. And then Moore invades. HOW COULD I KNOW THESE ARE THE FORAGER BROOD??!?! I expected humans, shadow people, Misbigotten, Even frenzied villagers, why on earth it had to be the pest?! Anyway atleast I got his full set and No one bats an eye that he died.
The friendly ones are so cute. 😂
Oh, _that_ is the forager brood? I never understood what the heck Moore was talking about, I thought they were a version of those shadow people or something. I'm pretty sure I shot one of those guys with a bow and wondered why he didn't get up and shot back. Man, I hate it when they make friendly NPCs look exactly the like the hostile ones, how was I supposed to know?
Because you can't lock on to friendly npcs including these ones 😅
@@LukasJampen Like I said, I was using a bow. He was far away. Possibly I assumed he was outside lock-on range, or I just decided to snipe him manually since that's often easier.
Anyway, I don't always lock on to enemies even at close range. That's how I nearly killed Gostoc by accident and had to go on whole damn quest to hunt down a Celestial Dew deep in the subterranean ruins under Liurnia, because I didn't want to lose an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
(Plus, some enemies can't be locked on to either. Specifically, ones who are hidden or playing dead.)
Ah, well. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.
I noticed it when I was being chased by enemies and cast golden vow. They got the buff when I did.
*Sellia Crystal Tunnel flashbacks.*
AHHH! *starts casting comet azur*
Elden Cookbook, such slop much wow
Where is it located on the map?
I did try healing him, .. that should have worked too. Bastages! I shall warmeth thine broooooood.
this guy disappeared for me and I couldn't find him anywhere.
I saw that he was hurt so I did the warming stone first thing, haven’t talked to Moore yet though 👍
Holy crap, I gotta try this.
I wish I actually did this on the right one
What do those cookbooks unlock?
Really it would be a cool thing if you could use a rot scribe as a mount to climb walls in some area
I tried a healing spell. Well then.
Healing spells don't heal enemies, warming stones do
Me who instinctively attacked them and i messed up the quest line 😢
For real though, I didn't know what Warming Stones did until I encountered this
I missed so many cookbooks😢
Damm...i wish i didn't over explore (saw shaded castle before beating dancing lion, its joeover) before finding about this...now moore disapered and i can't find him 😢
Another cookbook
What's the song name at the start
that armor is so drippy
yeah totally agree!
What armour set is that? It's class
When i saw him i thought of going back to grace and equiping a healing incant but then i was like "eh it's too far lets just try something else first" and i tried that, so ill be taking my medal thank you
What armor set is that
I did the spell and I threw multiple stones, but nothing happened and I left thinking I needed an item. It annoys me that I did it right and it didn’t do it.
I really need to pay more attention in this game. I play it offline so I at least go through the game once and try to figure out things on my own. I had a feeling there were more to them, but as some others have said... I also attacked it right away and got invaded by Moore. I didn't pay attention to his dialog I guess cause I had no idea what he was talking about. NG+ I will have to remember this.
forager brood is my new friend (i hate the coom monster in the base game)
Never used these stones before
Didn't even know they can heal
what pure unga bunga does to a mf.
If you heal him then reload and go back he gives you a cookbook and a flower. Then if Moore is still in his spot, he'll give you a new cookbook and a wonderous little berry for Torrent. I won't spoil what it does. Tee Hee!
Cookbooks the DLC
Supposedly i cant do this because i decided to explore in an open world game and advanced everyones questlines way further than i was supposed to be. I highly recommend you never explore ot is bad for your playthrough.
I am mad because I casted blessing’s boon and heal on him multiple times and nothing happened. I even casted holy ground and nothing happened
I screwed myself out of the mega stamina turtle neck because of my instinct to kill on sight.... Lol was so mad at myself when I found out
Where is it?
Ok how tf are we supposed to figure that out exactly??
There's literally guide books
since i figured it out immediately i'll be taking the medal since i said my discovery on reddit anonymously.
I just killed it straight away. In both my play throughs. Oops.
THERE'S NOOO FUCKING WAY!
i cant find this kindred anywhere, where are they?
near a church on the path between rellana and shadow keep
This is in the DLC right? There are no friendly guys of them in the main game right?
well kinda obvious dude looked like he is cold and the item name is WARMING STONE
Thanks
I actually smacked one because I didn't realize it was an NPC at first. It still gave me the book after a reload, so I think it didn't take offense.
All that for a cook book?
People probably “figured this out” the same way as when they figured out you could pull the centipede out of the guardian ape in sekiro using the spear - by looking at the source code of the game.
I didn't talk to Moore to claim my prize :(
Admittedly i didn't know that i could've just healed it and gotten stuff... i killed it and now Moore is dead cuz he invaded me... i'm so dumb!
We gonna pretend like there's not a message on the ground that literally says "Needs healing" nearby?
WOOO MORE COOKBOOKS 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I seriously believe it to be a conscious choice the devs chose this specific enemy to be the "secret", because everyone hate these annoying ahh mofos. I killed both on sight not knowing they are quest npcs
okay so am i the only one who killed them without thinking and got invaded by Moore? 😭
Eu descobri isso sozinho, me senti sabendo muito
Yet none of the items it gives u are worth a damn
Thanks. I do not have time to be a fuckin' detective and figure out what to do with this mf. 😂
i figured it out all by myself lol
Bro this is nothing! For the St. Trina quest you have to die a total of 6 times, 4 of which have to be in a row!!!
Oh great more craft stuff that the majority of people will not do anything about it
ELDEN RING IS COOL BUT ITS SO DEEP YOUU NEED 20 YEARS IN SLITHERNINE TOUNGE TO UNDERANT ANYTHING
this is DLC?
They’re friends?! Oops…
bro i healed it with erdtree heal and nothing happened, fml
The streamer i watch directly kills them because he hates them since that one cave... And he hatestvall kind of bugs in elden ring...
I figured this out thanks to messages on the ground and was so excited to see him stand up and start foraging. Then I put down my controller, accidentally pressing R1 and killing him instantly. Biggest disappointment of the DLC :(
how tf are you supposed to figure this out lmao
Well, target lock don't lock onto them. But yeah, internet.
it was me, I figured this out.
Wow.. i hate those guys so much i wouldnt of hesitated to duel wied jump attack him as i hopped off torrent
okey must next ng + im 2 this enemy kill :D :( and say why this enemy 10k hp :D
Oh thanks, another cookbook
