- US-Metal Legend RIOT in a new Version called RIOT V, live at Metal Assault 2014. Filmed by streetclip.tv, edited by M.Widmayer, Sound engineer A. Neudi Neuderth. Their Show was simply amazing, featuring a ton of classics from all Riot decades. Also the new (or newer) members did a perfect Job. Let´s hope that we will see more of Riot V in the future.
RIOT V will Play Keep It True Festival in 2015!
One of the only metal bands from USA that should have had the same popularity like Judas Priest and Sabbath, they were around almost the same time, the early 70s. Riot is the best metal bands around. Love you guys!
KickedYourGrapes That's exactly what I said about them years ago. They were playing that same brand of metal in the 70's, just like Priest. But while their British contemporaries became big stars, for some reason Riot never reached that same level of success. Damn shame!

I went to school with Donnie VanStavern during the mid 1970's . We were cutting our musical teeth at the time and going to every concert that came to town. Tickets at the time were between $5 and $7 for all shows regardless of the bands ( Priest, Sabbath, Budgie, B.O.C., Eagles, Deep Purple, Gods, Triumph, etc. ... .) or venues (small dives or colosseums). Those days were great times filled with the best memories!
I was introduced to Johnny's Back in the 9th grade and the Thundersteel & Privilege of Power cassettes were staples in my rotation. Riot, King Diamond, Yngwie Malmsteen... I'm 47 now and this shit still rocks
Saw Todd Michael Hall on the voice... Wow, what a voice. I clicked to hear Todd but keep re-clicking to hear ALL these awesome musicians. I'm a Riot V fan now.
You should listen to all of the albums they have with their other singers! Fire Down Under and Thundersteel are so amazing!

After Immortal Soul and Mark's passing I had hoped we hadn't seen the last of Riot. Unleash the Fire is such a strong album I hope for many more years of Riot V.

Dream come true saw RiotV last sunday in my hometown Tijuana, they played clasics from all eras! I shouted Restless Breed and Mike Flynts pointed at me and they started playing it. It was a highlight in my life i will never forget.

Nailed it! Man Privilege of Power was ahead of its time. They had the Tower of Fuckin Power horns on that album.

We used play cover song of this band, during late 80s and early 90s. Today Im watching this video, I get emotional and makes wanna cry.

I miss Mark and Tony, but wow...this song has never sounded better. I hope to see a live album from this lineup one day.

I agree! Tony Moore is the best singer Riot ever had. Todd Michael Hall is doing a PHENOMENAL job though. Tony Moore's singing is extremely powerful, and Todd Michael Hall is most likely the closest to it.

I saw Riot in the 70's opening for A/C D/C and Molly Hatchet. I know this isn't the same band but definitely a band I would spend my money to see.

Mike Flyntz is a fucking beast, damn! Stavern is also in great shape. We'll never again find a singer like Tony Moore, however - easily one of my favorites of all times. But Todd did an OK job anyway.
Well, Tony was good in studio, but he often sucked live, hitting false notes all the time, probably because he was drunk most of the time. Considering these, this guy here is better than Tony.

Facts:
1. I've heard bootlegs with Tony. While he was great in studio, on those live recordings sometimes he was painfully awful.
2. One of the members once said in an interview that Tony has had his "demons", by which he was referring to "you name it what".
And yes, you're big and strong, and very very metal. And fearsome. And clever. But one of these is not true. :D

+waqqodonkey the bass player is the original one and the guitar player with short hair have both been around since the thundersteel /privilege of power days.these guys have captured the essence of riot and are doing an awesome job.
riot is a multi faceted thing and is about the old and the new,these guys do both extremely well.
+waqqodonkey i think so, they r very close to iron maiden and may be touring with them in the up coming tour next year,,they shared alot of recording studio's in jersey and someone in the band is related to someone in the maiden family. so i pray it happens............rock on V

Riot always stood for great composing skills as well as great musicianship. This is still true. Their new record gives proof to this claim. But I cannot listen to Riot too often because the pitch of this voice causes me headage.
do they play classic Riot though or is it all just new stuff. because to me this isn't Riot. it's like listening to Queensryche. I liked the Raw sound of old Riot. I mean this is good but in no way reminds me of Riot

This guy's kind of embarrassing. Clearly working out too much, and then this thin-ass voice, no power to it at all. Sounds like a little girl trapped in a big guy's body. Not cool. I prefer Tony.
+james Bond check out riot v at wacken 2015,its the sound-mans fault not dialing in his sound very well not Todd's.he is fucking brilliant(not anywhere near Tony's studio level) but brilliant none the less and he has RANGE.
