Been listening to Riot since just after Fire Down Under came out (yeah, a long time), and I'll admit, Todd is a great vocalist and does a great job with the original songs.
Just a couple days ago heard the band first time, I don't know why I haven't found it earlier... Thundersteel is an amazing song and I don't care what anyone says about these guys being a "tribute band"... They are fuckin' excellent! God dammit I love the vocal performance and the band plays tight. Excuse me, I have about 4 decades of music to listen through ;) Fantastic!
Fire down under is one of the best hard rock albums ever. The entire album is solid so solid it’s hard to pick a favorite on the album. This outlaw no lies alter of the king and run for your life which ironically another song on Thundersteel of same name and not near as good. The version of outlaw they did on night breaker has incredible guitar work. If only Speranza was singing it would be better than original. ruclips.net/video/kz-j7rk33Kw/видео.html It is worth a listen.
I predict they will go on and make it bigger thn they were, and shit if they tour or warmup for maiden on the upcoming tour which i have heard from very close source, tht will propel them......plz make it happen
Current members[edit] Mike Flyntz - lead guitar (1989-2012, 2013-present) Don Van Stavern - bass (1986-1990, 2008-2012, 2013-present) Todd Michael Hall - lead vocals (2013-present) Frank Gilchriest - drums (2003-2007, 2014-present) Nick Lee - rhythm guitar (2014-present)
Love S&T, the Fire Down Under album is simply great and all about hard rock!! Don't like Breed and all that melodic metal stuff RIOT did later on. Will miss Guy and Mark and the 'old boys' forever.
That current singer is holding it down quite well ! Compared to the other 7 kats they found in a dive bar, (with all-due respect).Guy is irreplaceable ...
Restless Breed with Rhett Forester was decent too, but he is dead to. Shot and killed in 94 in Atlanta after he refused to give up his car during a carjacking
I agree, Rhett Forester was decent too. He had a great voice! But Fire down Under was a real shock for me and whathever Riot did after with Forester seemed a little bit "tasteless" to me.
Finishf Guy had a little more range than Rhett did. But Restless breed had a few good songs like "Showdown" I only heard one Riot Album after Forrester."Thunder Steel" I think it was called Mark Reale still did the guitars, but I didn't like the vocalist with his over the top opera/metal voice, it was too much
Riot is one of my favorite band ever , they are immortals
Grew up with this group! Was my generation in the late 70's and early 80's. Kicked ass!!!!
Been listening to Riot since just after Fire Down Under came out (yeah, a long time), and I'll admit, Todd is a great vocalist and does a great job with the original songs.
Crushed it.
Mike flyntz is a seriously underrated guitar player.
So is Nick Lee. He takes some of the solos now days. Mostly all the title tracks they play. Like Thundersteel and Fire Down Under
I absolutely love him.
The Fire Down Under lineup will always be Riot to me. RIP Mark and Guy.
You are absolutely right! Bring back the 70's!!!
NARITA's better.
@@stevehauk They're both fantastic albums.
Mark and Guy wrote most of the songs for the 1st 3 albums.
Man I wish we could've had at least one more Riot album with Guy's fantastic pipes on it. I'll bet his follow up to FDU would've been phenomenal
saw this band back in 82//so badass. so underated

Fantastic!
Riot V is incredible.
What a voice ! great, good memories, great band !
What a band, what a song!
When i listened this as a kid, i thought the chorus was "so, it's a killer!"😁🤘🤘💪
So great to hear these killer songs from such a great Band. I saw Riot live way back in the day maybe 1980
Awesome performance...metal all the way !!!
+ACAtheROCK fuck yea! \m/
I wore out multiple copies of this album when it came out! This lineup has done a fine job of on this tune

It is worth a listen.
This has always been one of my favorite metal songs and cannot understand why it wasn;t a bigger hit. I makes me want to go and bench 275 4 times.
mark would be smiling if he was looking down, they carried on and they sound great.
not as good as with mark of course but they still sound awesome!!!!
Still sound {almost/close enough} as good as ever!
Singer sounds great! This brings back good memories!
They should also honor Guy Speranza the original front man for this group.
My thoughts exactly.
Demasiado increible!!!!
Insane musicianship. RIOT V are monster 🤘🏽
Getting hyped to see them next month on July 8th in Chicago. I can't wait /,,/
The singer is good he should be in a famous band..
Goosebumps!
4:15 Thundersteel lml
Todd nailed it.
¡¡colombiaaaaaa march 2016!!
amazing
I predict they will go on and make it bigger thn they were, and shit if they tour or warmup for maiden on the upcoming tour which i have heard from very close source, tht will propel them......plz make it happen
Your prophecies came forth in the form of The Voice and Todd Michael Hall
Two bass drums always looks so killer it should be a law for all hard rock and metel
muito bomm
Give it up.?.. THERE IS ONLY ONE RIOT!!
Mark would approve.
No original members left ?
i think the bassist is the only old members from Narita/Thundersteel era, Don Van Stavern
Yep, Guy Speranza (original vocalist) died of canceer 2003. Rhett Forester (2nd vocals)
shot and killed in 94 after a carjacking
Mike Flyntz has been playing with the band since the Privilege Of Power tour
Since 86, I believe?
Current members[edit]

Don Van Stavern - bass (1986-1990, 2008-2012, 2013-present)
Todd Michael Hall - lead vocals (2013-present)
Frank Gilchriest - drums (2003-2007, 2014-present)
Nick Lee - rhythm guitar (2014-present)
Sorry to say this but, Tony Moore is one of a kind, I miss his unique voice.
He is awesome but Todd is at least at his level if not higher but all is question of taste
Both are great. Tony cannot sing like he once did
Love S&T, the Fire Down Under album is simply great and all about hard rock!! Don't like Breed and all that melodic metal stuff RIOT did later on. Will miss Guy and Mark and the 'old boys' forever.
Am I the only one who thinks this kind of thing shouldn't be done?
Freddy Mercury on Guitar? Cool! And here in Texas we say Mark ...Ree-al not Re-alee
That current singer is holding it down quite well ! Compared to the other 7 kats they found in a dive bar, (with all-due respect).Guy is irreplaceable ...
Inspiration from Judas Priest, with similar voice. quite good
No if any thing Judas priest was inspired by these guys
They are from the same era
Riots Thundersteel came out 2yrs before Priest went power metal w/ Painkiller.
great show in Toronto but can never replace Rhett
No original members, but this version is a good copy
I have been a big fan of the first 3 albums with Mark Real and Guy Speranza. This band on stage can't be Riot; so ridiculous.
Restless Breed with Rhett Forester was decent too, but he is dead to. Shot and killed in 94 in Atlanta
after he refused to give up his car during a carjacking
I agree, Rhett Forester was decent too. He had a great voice! But Fire down Under was a real shock for me and whathever Riot did after with Forester seemed a little bit "tasteless" to me.

Black Rain & Angel Eyes are 2 excellent Riot songs
Johnny's Back is decent
Man, this just isn’t the same as the original members, nope
Yeah Mark& Guy were riot ?? The later line up even with Rhett Forrester he was good had raw power but I still like guy .???
is this a tribute band?
Great cover band
Guy sounds like.... Guy
that's not ROIT ,
Who cares?
tribute band
One of my fave songs ever. However, just not a big fan of this version on here. Not terrible but lacks something.
cheap tribute band.
