Hi everyone! I started playing backgammon during the pandemic and quickly developed a love not only for the game but also for the artistry and craftsmanship of the boards. Over the next few weeks I'll share my thoughts on the boards in my collection, from small to big, affordable to more expensive, and give you an up close look at their quality and play experience. In this video, I share my thoughts on an impressive, very large tournament backgammon board from Wycliffe Brothers with satisfying 2" checkers.
I'd appreciate you liking and subscribing so that I can grow this channel, help others discover amazing backgammon boards, and, ultimately, share the wonderful game of backgammon with as many people as possible.

As a collector myself, really appreciate the quality of your videos. I disagree with your comment about the "loose cups" - I have a couple of Wycliffe boards plus others that have "5 across" storage racks that include space for the dice cups. Personally I find that the additional width required makes for a disporportionate storage area - I prefer the more compact design.
If "loose cups" really are an issue, then simply put them inside a drawstring bag. Gammon Village, if you're reading comments, this would make a nice "marketing feature" to have printed bags. 🙂

Thanks a lot for the review. Have you come across Detroit Chouette boards? Curious how they compare to other tournament boards?

Thank you for the shout out Jordan. The Wycliffe Brothers provide an outstanding value. They are very high quality with competitive pricing. Multiple players at our club have one and they love it.

Play your doubles slowly, one at a time. For example, with those double 5's, your first five was to hit on the 18 point. After that you certainly don't want to slot your five with him having a man on the bar.
