    Back in 1976 my grandfather use to save all his change, had large bottles, IE 1 Sparklets bottle filled and a large plastic wine display along with some other buckets. No Coinstar back then, we spent about 3 days counting and rolling it, had to use my large red Radio Flyer wagon to take it into the bank, just over 10k in change. They went out and bought and paid for a new car. Always pays to save change. I am just bad about looting the quarters.

    I always roll my change and take it to the bank whenever I need it. Covid hit hard and when I can’t make it to the bank or they’re closed early on the weekends, that’s when I’ll use coinstar. It’s not ideal if you need cash because 12% adds up if you bring tons of change, but sometimes you just have to take the hit. A lot of places in my town just won’t accept rolls of change.

    only downfall is that these coinstar machines take a good bit of your money just because you were too lazy to go and roll them up yourself

    I have a few questions
    -Are those machine accurate
    -And what choices do you have for
    the E-gift cards

    • @Penguini_LOSR
      @Penguini_LOSR Год назад

      I don’t know if the machines are accurate, but they can’t be worse than the counting machines at the bank. When you select e-gift card it will show you where you can use it, but some options are amazon, Nike, and basically anywhere a visa can be used

    • @Penguini_LOSR
      @Penguini_LOSR Год назад

      @@ghostmo2130 it prints out a code on your receipt and you use it just like you would a plastic gift card- also cashiers can enter in the code/ barcode or information if you need to pay at a counter and not online.

    do you get the cash?

    • @seekinghimdaily92
      @seekinghimdaily92 2 года назад

      You can if you choose that option. That’s when the machine takes 11.9% of it as a fee. They didn’t get the fee because those chose the non-cash option… which was the gift card. From my research, however, the gift card options are limited… so I intend to bite the 11.9% fee and get my slip for cash. To be honest… I’ve done the math and this is more financially efficient than utilizing coin wrappers. 💯
