  • Tens of thousands of pennies were weighing on Andreas Flaten’s mind until help arrived. After Andreas gave his two weeks notice at work and asked for his final paycheck, a pile of 90,000 oil-slicked pennies showed up at his house. Andreas tried cleaning the pennies off, preparing to cash them in. It was proving to be a time-consuming process, but as news of the stunt got around, one company realized it could help. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more. #InsideEdition

Apparently he left his job because he had issues with his boss. They originally had an agreement saying that he could leave at about 5:00 to go pick up his kid from daycare. This was made worse during the pandemic and his boss eventually seemed to stop honoring the agreement.
This lead the guy to put his two weeks in although he later walked off the job presumably after an argument with his boss.
After not receiving his final paycheck he called the Department of Labor to look into it, who ended up contacting his former employer three times.
Finally this led to this whole check into pennies scenario. Also that letter on top of the pile was his final paystub.
