I saw a lot of emotional healing in these few days. After some time, the scars will be physical only. Fortunately she doesn't have a broken leg or something, like poor Fishan. Seems she can move her ears too, that's what I was most worried.

She yearned for love, and it was given. I’m so glad she spent these days in all your loving care, healing her broken heart as well as her wounds. You all gave her so much. I don’t want to even picture what she endured alone, before she was placed in your peaceful nursery, with the warmth of everyone’s touch. I was so hopeful!

You wrote the same way I feel about it, and I haven’t even dared to watch the entire video yet, only read the introductory words and seen the first few seconds of pictures of the poor little one who endured so much, while all alone, even!! 😢😨🥺😰😓 But I paused it because I cannot stop crying about all that this big little precious elephant baby endured!! HOW could men be so mean, so cruel, so heartless????!! 😩😢😤😭🥺☹️
When I try to think of all her tremendous pain and tremendous fear and anguish it caused her, I hope these men are punished by God by feeling and fearing EXACTLY as she had to suffer!!!! 🥺😩😱😰😥😭😫😩😖

Watching this whole video put together after pieces of it, is heart wrenching now that she’s gone. What a fighter she was. Her wounds were so damaging, so severe, so very deep. It was disgusting what this baby had to endure. And her life cut so short! She had such a spirited personality, like how she crushed and played with that bottle! And the close up of her eye, her lashes, she knew she was safe.... finally. Everything possible was done to save this little soul. Bit evil won... she’ll be a shining light, hopefully to help stop these horrible acts against animals, keeping their habitats safer in the future!!! I can’t go thru a day now without thinking of little Fenya, and all the people who tried to save her life... I watch her videos, sometime crying, sometimes smiling. She is a very special little Ellie.... ♥️ loved by so many

Trap hunting was always the worst. Well, humans have to eat, we have hunted for millenias. Hunting wasn't cruelty, it was necessary. Countless elephants have been hunted. Counless cattle, pig and poutry butchered. Modern age has enabled us to ask should we hunt at all very intelligent beings like whales, dolphins, apes, elephants. It's great that masses have awkened into preserving the nature and these wonderful animals. Some people still hunt for survival and improving their life. A lot of people have moved to live as a vegan, although it's difficult (and expensive). When time passes on, I see us moving past the butchering of animals and replacing our food with something we can get without killing anything. It just takes some time.

Letting you care for her wounds that must be extremely painful, and finally milk. Truly AMAZING progress in one week for a creature so scared and in pain. As Joshua said, she really has shown her intelligence in learning to start letting go of her fear so quickly! Hats off to the team for your peaceful, caring ways that are making all the difference! I have been alone for over a year in Covid. I do not have family and as we all know, our friends have their own levels of stress during these times. So every day I remind myself: I am safe, I am healthy, I have nothing to complain about, and I am grateful. But I have been away from nature and animals which (for me) are my whole reason for living and being on the planet. You have no idea what your videos mean to me. Every single day, when I need to connect to something, reach out, feel love, and remind myself to stay focused. I will watch your videos and others from sanctuaries. You have no idea how much strength, hope, and love you have afforded me through your shares. This past year I have given $5000 to sanctuaries all over the world. That number will grow until the day I am no longer here. And it makes me incredibly, incredibly happy to share these moments through RUclips. Thank you for ensuring love wins. In terms of those who buy ivory products, I think of this little girl being on her own, crying out for her mother, wandering around trying to find her, being afraid every minute of the day, not being able to lie down to sleep because there’s no one to protect her, seeking water to quench her thirst, tossing grass and leaves on her wounds in an effort to relieve her the pain, the overall physical and emotional torture she suffered. Now, in safe and loving arms, communicating with her new herd family, and finally being able to lie down to sleep. You’ve got angels, little Fenya.

I think you might have something there with the hole in the door, the whole body of a human is scary whereas just a hand or an arm seems to desensitize her feelings and she's able to cope. First and foremost.... thank you to the entire team for all that you do for these wonderful and magnificent elephants !!! Your love and kindness and patience is beautiful and inspiring. My heart breaks for these sweet babies who are injured by these horrific snares. Fenya and Khanisya are lucky to have been found and brought to HERD where they will be loved and cared for 24 hours a day for life. And thank you for the long and detailed update on Fenya's progress. I watched every minute of it and cried at her injuries and smiled at her growing trust..... Please keep us updated on her progress.... when you get the time....... Hopefully, she and Khanisya will soon get to be friends.....

I like how Fenya also flirted with Joshua. Khanyisa also seems to like the male humans. It may be, though, that there are more male carers who are around more often, bringing food, bottles, attention, etc. But Adine, as the leader, helps the babies understand that the humans of HERD are great! Even the adult elephants see that.
