I have thought + said much the same, that Khanyisa is so incredibly RARE - an AQUA-BLUE-EYED Albino Baby ELLIE!...Her entire story is one of Divine Intervention, being found so deeply wounded, so close to death, being flown to HERD overnight for life saving surgery, followed by a challenging convalescence...But ALL THANKS to HERD's GIFTED vets and caretakers whose around the clock care have given Khanyisa a SECOND CHANCE at a SAFE and NURTURED Life!!! reb I love her sweet little personality, how you all interact with her and she w/you...her eagerly working the gate latch, so she can join the Jabulani Herd in the mornings...her slightly lop-sided ears (🤕) - everything - endears her to me, to everyone!.. She is AMAZING! 💞🌾🐘🌾💞 Khanyisa, the PERFECT Little Ambassador for Orphaned Ellies! Wouldn't it be great if there was a toy company out there that would make little pink stuffed elephants with Khanyisa's name on it and maybe a little tiara. The company could do it for cost and the rest would go to the orphange. I think that they would sell out fast. Anyway, it was just a thought.

Elephants really are royalty. They feel no compunction about pushing others out of their way. It's not meanness, just part of the natural order of things for them. Khanyisa is definitely a princess, pushing by Lammie who takes it in stride and continues munching happily. Lammie is the perfect nursery companion. I love Khanyisa! And Lammie, too!💕 P.S. Thank you for the info about Lammie's tail. I thought she was deformed! I'm interested to know it's a special adaptation in her species to store fat. Fascinating!

Loved watching caring Stravros picking little bundles of grass and gently giving to Khanyisa in her trunk which she then reorganised with her ever adapting trunk before putting in her mouth. Love Lammie too. 🥰💞🐘💕🌾☀️💚🐑💛🌿🤍🌱

I feel so bad for the carers who live with their families over the border. They have not been able to see them since the borders were closed since coronavirus hit. They do an amazing job for Khanyisa and all of the beautiful elles, but wow that must be soooo hard for them! I hope the borders open soon. It would be nice at least if their families could come to them!!!
There is covid pandemic everywhere and so much negativity around..but the one who brings positive vibes and a smile is our dear Khanyisa and her friends 😊especially Lammie and her tail

She is enjoying the special treatment from all her caretakers. She is getting a bit spoiled, but after what she went through, we don't mind. She is so happy and thriving, with all the good care by HERD and ADINE.
Khanyisa and lammie were enjoying their greens this morning 🌱☘🌿 It's sad that the 'food bowl' is low for the animals at the moment 😔 In Australia our 🐨 Koala population has recently been classed as endangered due to drought & recent major bushfire's. She follows Stavros around & waits for handfuls of green grass, then follows Lammie around because Lammie knows where the tastiest stuff is :) I love how she runs to the herd (but paused to knock over a bucket lol). Is the white stuff medicine? I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it turned out to be heart-shaped! Our little sunshine running around with a heart on her bottom! Too adorable :)

Probably something like A&D ointment that we put on our babies bottoms to prevent rash. She's teething and has had diarrhea, also common in human children.

Can you imagine having to subsist on hard branches and bark? Think of how adaptable the elephants are to live like that. It's truly amazing. We have a soil problem on this planet. Big time.

This is such beautiful video of Khanyisa she is healthy and happy now. The past is away and she is Khanyisa the calf who win in life most pain and sadness of lost her elephant mom. When she come in the orphanage with Adine and Stavros and dr. Rogers Khanyisa have faith in live. That is the way to start happiness and that make her happy and strong. Look now september 2021 she walk with the herd and every elephant love her so much. 26 september she is 2 year. All of you have pray and gives hope all the fans of Khanyisa so wonderful we met each other in love for Khanyisa and the Herd.
I wish the bigger elephants had grazing pastures of grass too. The area they use to graze is all dried up. There's nothing left. No more fertile soil. The whole planet is burning up.

Khanyisa and I are both under our blankets. Very, very chilly here this morning for September! Some areas had a heavy frost (mountainous area).

I believe that she had diarrhea not too long ago, so it may be a butt rash ointment.
Probably something like A&D ointment that we put on our babies bottoms to prevent rash. She's teething and has had diarrhea, also common in human children.
Elephants are more like cats, than dogs it seems. Call them and they keep on going.
Them adults listen their name and respond to commands/suggestions quite well. Khanyisa is a year old one. She'll grow up, we see.
But they definitely come if you have treats! 😋💕🐘

Someone has a birthday coming up! Our little girl is as beautiful as can be. She is a product of pure love from those around her, human or elephant. What a tremendous job you have done, especially with the pandemic. God's little slice of heaven.

This is such beautiful video of Khanyisa she is healthy and happy now. The past is away and she is Khanyisa the calf who win in life most pain and sadness of lost her elephant mom. When she come in the orphanage with Adine and Stavros and dr. Rogers Khanyisa have faith in live. That is the way to start happiness and that make her happy and strong. Look now september 2021 she walk with the herd and every elephant love her so much. 26 september she is 2 year. All of you have pray and gives hope all the fans of Khanyisa so wonderful we met each other in love for Khanyisa and the Herd.

I don't know sheep, but every time I see Lammie's tail I think it's so weird, with a 90 degree bend. I've never seen that before.
I wish the bigger elephants had grazing pastures of grass too. The area they use to graze is all dried up. There's nothing left. No more fertile soil. The whole planet is burning up.
