I tried doing this with a 4 ft dowel but the dowel kept sliding. Is there sticky tape or some kind of tape on your staff to keep it from sliding too much? Thanks

What kind of staff is this? I know this is like 5 years later, but i love the style, is it still purchasable or is their an upgraded version?
