Don't talk about Mido so much, people will start looking at them and we will not be able to buy one on sale. I just bought this on sale by the way, was walking by looked at it and said to myself 'that's it' the Mido I was looking for something I can wear with a pair of shorts or a suit.
Bought the Multifort Blue in January. Great watch. Absolutely no regrets.
I love the design of this watch. Very versatile. Can be dressed up and dressed down. It looks like a field watch but also dress watch. Reminds me a little bit of the Seiko Alpinist.
What do you think is higher quality between two?
@@bunnyban5365for accuracy, Mido
I have a feeling this is going to be a very popular watch, Mido has knocked it out of the park with this one.
They have a matching model for women. The alimony.
I have the anthracite version. Yes I can confirm the dial places the watch way above its price point. All the reference variations are beautiful. The exhibition case back is questionable as the movement is of course pretty standard for the money. However really worth a try. I still think it’s one of the most noticeable Mido designs, even compared to higher level Mido watches
You have to consider most people buying these entry level Swiss watches are new to watches (I’m one of these people) and seeing any movement is pretty cool. I just got a Tissot Seastar 2000 so basically the same movement but as my first automatic diver I appreciate seeing the movement at all
The patrimony chronograph is incredible. It is on my short list for purchases. Teddy - can you cover? I have not seen a US RUclips review of the piece yet.
I just recived this exact model from my wife for new year, i love it.
Teddy, I’ve been following you for about 8 months now. Love your content! I just purchased this one and I can’t say enough about it, it’s a beautiful watch.
I keep coming back to the Multifort Patrimony Blue. The design, the blue of the dial, they're so eye-catching. And the price of these watches is actually quite good. This and the Mido Commander are two that are high on my list, but I think the blue is my favorite of the two.
I'm so glad you introduced Mido to your online shop. Congratulations.
Nice looking watch, but usual swatch shortcomings. 20mm lug width, and 4hz easily serviced movement would make this a real value proposition imo of course! :-)
I got that model and love it! Changed the strap to a black one and noticed the resemblance to the Vacheron Constantin fifty six…🤭 just a little bit more anti reflective coating would have been nice…and yes mine is also running very accurately
Wow, what a fantastic watch! Love the vintage look with modern water resistance, but I’ll probably just keep daily wearing vintage!
I'd like to see a green dial version of this watch. I think the date window should have replaced the 6 numeral. Why do we need the second track sub-divided in fifths? I think these elements make the dial needlessly busy. Still quite nice overall, and for the price.
The Mido is such a cool timepiece !
Great review on this amazing watch. I use my Mido as my everyday watch instead of wearing my Tudor or Seiko Diver's watch. The Mido is simple and not overly flashy which I also like. I also have not noticed any distortion when looking at the watch and I find it easy to see the time. For an inexpensive timepiece I would definitely recommend Mido.
I like it. It can be dressed up and down fairly easily. The vintage style along with the mid contrasting between all elements are not screaming for attention but instead just fit in nicely with it's surroundings. It's definitely reached my shortlist. I am saving up for a Casio gwmb5000 right now (for a timeless everyday digital), but this will probably reach my collection at some point.
A beautiful watch, thank you Teddy
Mido seems to make beautiful pieces that don’t break the bank as nd offer a somewhat entry into luxury Swiss.
Teddy would love to see you review a EDOX Delfin 88005 in a blue dial still. Caught between it and the Mido Ocean Star
Hi Teddy, I've had this watch for a year and i'ts a great piece, great design and a brand with caracter and history
Mido and Certina are killing the competition.
Both have lot of history and patrimony.
Will take away huge market share from Oris and Longiness
I like the Certina DS-4 range. And both offer COSC watches for very reasonable prices.
I just ordered mine.. can’t wait
How are you liking it?
Still liking it 😂
I would consider this a do it all dress watch. Can be used in just about any occasion
Thinking this is gonna be my next watch, love it!
Absolutely stunning...damn, now I have another watch to lust after!
“Obfuscated”. Good word. Mine is on its way. A little late to the party but better late than never.
Nice piece! Thank you, Teddy.
Fantastic watch Teddy
Great simplicity.
Nice review. Mido is not my first choice but nice to see they are "up there" with the usual suspects (Seiko, Tissot, etc.)
Thanks for sharing.
What a beauty! And elaborate eta adjusted to 3 positions. 😎😎😎
mido is orient of switzerland. weird case and lug width sizes but great value.
bought this watch last year, and recently sold it. it’s a beautiful watch, but something about it just didn’t do it for me. again, beautiful watch nevertheless.
love this, great travel watch as you could wear it with black or brown accents. very cool!
Please try MIDO belluna royal. A Grand Seiko vibe in affordable range. Such a value deal for aesthetic watch !!
This really is a gorgeous watch, especially for the price.
Design looks interesting!
You've shown me that Mido is kind of in league with Hamilton or Oris in that they make several tempting models. Decisions decisions...
They are cheaper then both and not as nice as Oris IMHO
I say this having yhought seriously about buying this very watch for a few years now
@@KingMinosxxvi don't all three have pretty much off the shelf movements?
@@henrywest7217 Yah they do. but so do much more expensive watches and a few cheaper ones. Just go take a look at them in person. I think Oris tend to be better finished and quality then the other two here. That being said Mido does present very good value and you can get them around 40 percent off on Jomashop. I really like this watch in particular and if you could grab one for under 600 bucks Id say go for it. But find a place you can go try them on. Really feel it out. Watches are funny. Even at 500 bucks you gotta really love it for it to be worthwhile.
@@KingMinosxxvi I would definitely like to give it a long look.
Would a domed vs box crystal have lessened the edge distortion? You would then have to add even more anti-glare coating that this watch doesn’t apparently have anyway.
It would be great to see your review for the COMMANDER “CATRÍN” LIMITED EDITION from Mido. Definitely one of their more unique offerings.
Simply lourve such 'multi-faceted' designs with function in mind. Multi-purposed n multi-situational... 😁 💖 Like a multi-tooled ninja... With class... Niiice review Teddy. 😁 😍 👍 💖
Thanks for the great vid!! Mido is awesome. Cheers!!!
Longines & Mido 👌👍.
I like the gray version.
Is it hard to make WR rating to 100m as minimum for watchmakers?
Beautiful, except for the date window position 😕. Jammed in above the 6. Plenty of space between 4 and 5 (although that breaks symmetry), or even moved up slightly to allow space from the 6.
Really? I quite like the date placement. Makes it a bit more special and/or not as boring as the competition.
Should i get this one
Or the hamilton jazzmaster?
Yesterday I went to the local store with the desire to buy that watch whit rose gold PVD coating. It turned out to be a complete disappointment.
First of all, the watch is small, the strap is too narrow for my taste. When removing the watch from my hand, I noticed that the lower part of the strap's leather was peeling off. A very unpleasant situation for the seller. I decided to wait and order another Commander model.
I can't decide between this one and the Junghans Meister Chronoscope with the blue dial
I’m in doubt between Mido Patrimony and Tissot Heritage 1938 COSC. Any advice, friends?
Hi Teddy, occasion aside (dress, casual) would you consider this watch superior to the Tissot Ballade that you reviewed recently or the other way around?
Why do you divert attention from the overlooked watch wearing another watch on your hand? I think this is a mistake.
Beautiful watch
Nice looking classy watch.
No mention on their website of any AR coating on the glass.
I don't like that you're making my 'secret' a popular thing...heh
A good looking watch.
That's a nice watch. I love what Mido is doing.
If it was 20mm lug to lug I would have bought it.
What a beauty!
Do you think it would work on an 8" wrist or would it wear to small?
teddy do u like the dress watches on aliexpress?
Dies Mido have a stainless steel bracelet that fits?
Woh a VC 56 on poorman budget! RESPECT!
Your website is kinda glitchy . . .
Any possibility this watch can see a sale for Black Friday coming up?
I got it on eBay. Paid below market price but it was used. Works great and you can pay to make sure it’s a legit watch
Dang that’s beautiful.
I’d buy one
I ordered one from an AD and had it delivered to their store. I could not have been more disappointed. The unboxing revealed scratches on the back, no crystal cover an a band that was less than new looking. It did have the back sticker and qr code but I was surprised at what I saw. The deal killer above everything above was the dial. I was expecting a blue face dial with a black outer ring and it was just dull. I have read a mountain of reviews on this watch and seeing one in person was such a let down. I have nothing but great things to say regarding the AD. They refunded my money on the spot and were great to work with. I would buy again from them just not the Mido Multifort Patrimony. Even NIB I would have sent it back. for its dull face. Not sure where Im going next brand for a watch.
the
Muy bonito
Mido, love their watches…..but why 19.5mm?
Mido is as good as any Hamilton and definitely better than Tissot or Certina, unfortunately Still waiting for someone to review their awesome Ocean Star Chronograph special edition……..no one seems to care in North America.
Get.. in.. my.. belly! --er, watchbox!
Honestly if someone told me this was a $2,900 watch I'd be like, sure does look like it. This thing is killer.
Yes agree if you consider the dial aesthetics. However If you flip the watch over, the exhibition case back brings you back down to earth ☺️. Still a remarkable watch. I have the anthracite version and I love it.
I was looking to add another Tissot until I found out the truth about their Plasticmatic movement and I saw this Mido call me.
wassup teddy!!! 😎✌️
Would have been a certified banger without the date
Why? It's both at the 6 o'clock position and color-matched to the dial, so I don't see anything at all wrong with it.
@@jakekaywell5972 personal preference, I love a clean simple sector dial
@@milkismurder Can't argue with that logic. Luckily there's something out there for all of us, like the very funky 1980s "Star Wars" Raketa I recently scored on the ol' FleaBay. Octagonal case, day/date complication directly across from the Raketa logo, textured dial with TWO different textures, and exposed screws? Yes please!
Very nice Watch
Longines legend diver want to be😬
Teddy, good review of a beautiful watch but, again, you commit the cardinal sin of date changing in the "danger hours" range. This seems to be the norm with your reviews. I wonder how many people have damaged their watches after seeing you do it on many reviews. Please stop this practice.
Dude this watch is a couple years old...get on the ball ;)
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Ugh, no date please!!!!
Too small
Too big for this type of watch
Keep growing out your mustache and you will look like Ned Flanders....
This is not inexpensive!
Your everyday watch costs more than two months salary for me...
Thanks but i will keep my 15 euro Q&Q as my everyday watch.
Using a baby cow's skin as a fashion accessory is something a sociopath would do.
