Am in Paris and enjoyed spending half a day at Galleries Lafayette. And I put one of the gilt ones on! And it is - gorgeous! Just the most delightful on wrist presence with my 8 inch wrist. Went in to look at Breitling, came out thunderstruck with the Tissot. Will let them get further into the market but will be moving my 1973 Heritage Tissot chrono on in favor of this one!
Really love what Tissot is doing. Reminds me of Omega telemeter. I may have commented on this already, but there is just something about this watch that captivates me.
Now this is another Tissot chronograph that I want to see in the flesh at the AD when they are available. The last time I did this was when I looked at the PRX chrono that took some months to arrive at the AD.... and I walked out with the silver dial Panda version... after paying of course. Tissot was my first dipping of the toe into mainstream Swiss watches many years ago and they still make great watches with new models both modern and classic designs. Certainly the PRX gave the market a well deserved kick. Well done Tissot! Keep up the great work.
Stunning Watch. The only reason i'd hold off is because I already own two Tissot's and this year I've bought a brand new Longines Hydroconquest and an Omega Speedmaster and they need wrist time before I consider another. Tissot is on another level. Makes no sense to buy any other brand at this price point. This Telemeter eats Oris Big Crown for lunch
Teddy you alwys do a great job with the specs on watches. thats why i subscribed and watch so many of your videos as a watch lover. This watch also has a very important feature for todays wearer and its Nivachron balance spring, "Because the magnetic fields generated by our electronic objects (mobile phone, computer, radio, magnetic closure, etc.) are ever more present in our daily lives, Tissot has developed a new, titanium-based alloy at the cutting edge to preserve the precision of its watches. A Nivachron™ balance spring is regarded as far more resistant to and unaffected by magnetic fields than standard springs"
Love the watch. I had been waiting since you mentioned on instagram a few month back. I did my first order with you for the black version the same day that was for sale. Arrived quickly and no issues. This watch has my style. Loving it!😎👍
One of my dream watch is Breitling premier B09 but couldnt afford it yet. Yesterday was window shopping some watch boutiques and saw this watch. Looks gorgeous in person rather than pictures. Looks close enough from B09 for me. I know theres rule “dont buy other watch to scratch the itch” but its a long way to b09 for me. And im happy to settle with this Tissot for now
Wow really love these Tissot chronographs and yeah I think they look pretty original and obviously at a good price point. Except the branding, I think you could actually compare it to a Breitling Premier which is like 4 times the price. Great video teddy!
Or you can have them both like I do with the original Dan Henry 1939 that is now completely sold. Not the second run version which is a bit brown "ish". Yuck.
I think the Tissot Telemeter in the black/gold and then a Junghans Telemeter would be a perfect combo. In fact just got the first half of this equation, working on the second.
I would love to see a side-by-side of this watch and the new Longines Heritage Record. They look extremely similar with Longines being 40mm and a bit more wearable I suppose
I was excited when this was first announced, but 42mm is just a no-go. Extremely disappointed it wasn't around the same size as the Janeiro Z199. 38 or 39mm would've been perfect, imho.
Nice looking watch and agree that the white dial has better visibility. Not sure the spiral tachometer scale, as it really complicates the center of the dial and interacts with the two sub chapter dials. In this watch the vintage look overwhelms its functionality. I do like that it is a no date dial, though, so that's a plus over the PRX Chrono dial. Nice exhibition back to showcase the movement.
I'm glad it's 42mm. On my 19.5 cm wrist, 38 mm would look like a women's watch. I mean look at the Cartier Tank on M.Ali's wrist. Looks like a children's watch. On the other hand, I understand that most people seem to have smaller wrists. Therefore every manufacturer should produce two sizes of each model. 👍😀
@@juniorjohnson5961 around 6.25/15.9cm...the absolute maximum lug-to-lug I enjoy wearing is around 47mm so this watch with over 50mm lug-to-lug is too much...I know it's not all about the numbers and I try to wear watches first before making a final decision, but there are limits to my tiny wrist haha.
@@natusMCMII I agree. The lug to lug is the key. If there’re gaps under the strap/bracelet and/or the lugs overhang, then I feel like watch wearing me, not vice versa. A watch is a tool, not the wearer:)

Aaron. I have a 20cm wrist and had one on yesterday in Paris at the massive watch displays at Galleries Lafayette. I put on the black and gilt one, with the tan leather strap. It fit very well. It has the usual superb Tissot butterfly clasp and was not in the largest slot. So it should fit you nicely. One thing that small handed people, (talking about you Teddy,) don’t get is that the “throw” of a clasp may not fit over a large hand. That is, it may fit your wrist perfectly but you still cannot get it over your big hands. This one is fine. As I said in my comment, I think my 70s style Tissot chrono may need to move on in favor of one of these.
Yep - right down to the available dial colours. I've got the 1939 silver dial and the similarities are startling. (I'm aware the look comes from way back (www.timeline.watch/watch/ardor-watch-chronographe/), but even so...
Make it 40mm across. Get rid of the winding mechanism and do a manually wound movement with a case less than 13mm thick overall. Keep the lug to lug at 47mm or less. I got very excited when I saw the pic but as soon as he said 42mm I lost it. This could had been a hit, but commercial design and thinking win once again. Companies should look at the success Tudor has had with the BB 58 and 39mm Pelagos where people are lining up for buying and learn something. Yes I get that Tissot and all companies should make bigger watches with cheap available movements and no modifications to keep things cheaper and maximize profit, but anything labeled a "heritage" piece maybe should be "heritage" designed, just saying.
I really enjoy what Tissot has on offer with this release. Strangely, the font of the logo is a sticking point, and doesn't allow my eye to fully appreciate the dials' other features as a result.
