Heh, I managed to burn myself on the waterline using that technique waaay back when I was in junior high (I’m 50). Was touching up after PE, so I had to finish the day with a slightly swollen and very sore eye. Still have the scar, and liner refuses to deposit on it, so I always have a bare spot lol. I’m extremely fortunate it wasn’t any worse. Moral of the story is don’t use this method, especially if you value your eyes💁🏻‍♀️👀🙆🏻‍♀️

This is an awesome video 💞
You look gorgeous and glowing as always, but 10 times over, with your "baby" glow. I love it.
Emily, I'm much older, almost 54, and back in the 9th grade, 1979, Cover Girl had a quad eyeshadow palette, it has a lovely blue and green. There was a sorta champagne color, but I ain't sure of the 4th color. I'm thinking it was a pink. Oh girlie, I've been looking for that one, to no avail unfortunately. But I did find the blush/highlighter trio I used wayyyyyy back then. I was so excited when I saw it at the Walmarts. It's the pinky colored one. And wayyyyyyy back then, I'd do a monochromatic look with that trio. I'd use it for eyeshadow. And when I'd do a blue look or purple, I'd always sweep a bit of the medium color across the whole lid. And always blue mascara. I started out with the only one I could find and it was a dark navy one by Aziza. Then I discovered the Great Lash bright blue one. But later in my mid-late 20's, I discovered one by JANE, it was named grape curl, but it looked blue. Unfortunately that is no longer, so I now use a Hard Candy one. The Great Lash is too thin of a formula for me. But I do have some, so I just wave the wand a bit, to get it drying up some before I apply. I find that to be quite effective and kinda solves the too thin of a formula for me.
Just a little tip about getting mascara on your lids, let it dry and it will flick right off.
I also has that CG liner in the blue. I kinda wanna think they had a purple as well, I thought the sponge tip was pretty cool to smudge it.
And how bout those highlighters by PF, that are in a round compact. There's a pearl and a darker champagneish color. And I love those PF strips. I had the pinky one, now I only have the bronzey brownish one. Now after watching this video, I'll be on a mission to find the color you have and the pink one. I think they're a great eyeshadow as well. Me and my using blushes and bronzers for eyeshadows. Been doing that for so long.
I had lots of fun watching this video with it's, blasts from the pasts. 💞
    Love your videos 💞

Yup. CG Perfect Point Plus eyeliners. The ONLY reason I still use it is because it has a very unique “smudger tip” that no other eyeliner has & it allows me to create the perfect cat eye with a pencil liner. It’s sooo fast and easy. I have to go over it with an eyeshadow using a flat liner brush or the liner will smudge but I also darken my beauty mark with it too. 😊👍💚

Revlon Cherries in the snow lipstick! My mom wore it, it was my signature red back in the day, and now my 33 year old daughter recently rocked it. I feel like the only mascaras I have ever used are Maybelline great lash in the pink and green tube for YEARS. At some point years ago I switched to L'Oréal Voluminous, and in spite of occasionally trying the latest hyped mascara, I keep going back to L'Oréal voluminous. I might look for the great lash... would be fun to try that again.

I loved the video. I graduated from high school in 1975 and am sixty-one. I wore Merle Norman pressed powder and a pale pink Max Factor lipstick selected by my aunt and my grandmother. A young lady didn't wear blush or eye makeup until you were older according to their experience. I loved them for caring enough to want the best for me.

Also the Pure Romance quad...that was also one of my favorites back in the day. And they still make it! Thanks for a great video, Emily!❤️😁

So LOVE your channel! You always put out the most practical, fun & informative vids! They are always so useful & are way more REALITY based. Especially in comparison to a lot of the other beauty vids. You’re looks are always purposeful. Don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate a wild makeup look for its artistic expression. But, for me, I use makeup for practical reasons.
Concealer to diminish dark circles, bronzer to add warmth & definition to my face, blush to add “life” to my face, mascara to intensify the look of my lashes, mid/dark shadows in my crease to give my eyes better definition. So there’s a reason & rhyme for what I apply & where. It’s not just wearing hot pink & green shadow for “fashion” or because it’s pretty. But that’s just me.
    Love you Emily !!

My first makeup products included the Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker and the blush gel. I think my first blush gel was pink and my big sister's was peach. We used to swap colors. My first powder was their loose one, and my first "highlighter" was a cream called "White White". Cheers! ~Anastacia in Cleveland (the OG home of Bonne Belle)

@@janetyamashige9573 LOL! That is what I used to wash my face. I would rinse it off afterward because it left a slightly sticky residue on my face. It didn't do much for my acne even though that was supposed to be one of it's uses.

I remember getting ready to go out in 2006, taking FOREVER to do my eyeshadow, and my mum commenting I spent ages doing my makeup only to look like I wasn't wearing anything. Looking back, it's because I had no idea about eyeshadow primer, brushes, and pigmented shadows. I used to actually buy packets of sponge tips, layer and layer and layer my cheap shadow on (because I thought $20 was too expensive for a palette and cheaper ones would work the same, how wrong I was), and still end up with a barely there look. RUclips honestly taught me a LOT!

Congratulations on the new baby coming soon. I'm 45 so my first makeup was max factor pancake foundation with cover girl clean pressed powder that I still use to this day. I then used max factor panstick until it was discontinued. I have dry skin now and switched around foundation for years until returning to cover girl clean foundation and it's so good and nostalgic with how it smells. I mix a little of their bb cream in with it for added spf. Thank you so much for this video. I've always bought drugstore makeup so I really appreciate your videos. Oh btw you are beautiful and you remind me of Sandra Bullock in this video.
