- Howdy! Here's another low-key ambient-focused video exploring the incredible power of the Boss RV-6 blended with the TE-2 Tera Echo and the DD-8! It was a fun, chaotic, and calming ride.
This is my first experience with the RV-6 and I have to say, the hype is indeed real! The shimmer mode with the tone knob turned down sounds absolutely gorgeous and pairs beautifully with the other two pedals. I didn't go too deep into the other modes because I really was blown away and wanted to savor my time with that particular sound.
In the future, I'm looking to do a full video of the RV-6 to explore all of its nooks and crannies when I have the time. I've been busy as heck so appreciate all of you hanging in there when I go a month without doing anything.
Take care,
Kevin

Gotta do another video of these guys.
Throw in a chourus and maybe a temporary distorion pedal that you bring in and out.
This is magic
Thanks so much! Great ideas! I weirdly don't have a dedicated chorus pedal but hopefully get my hands on one soon. Endless possibilities and exploration! Definitely haven't seen the last of these three
It's such a fun thing stacking different flavors of Delays and Reverb. Finding those little pockets to fill out, without ending in chaos, is really a thing to slow down...
Totally! It's a fun excercise in restraint and how to approach playing. I've said this before but it feels therapeutic to unplug from everything else and get lost in the abyss of sound.
@@pedalgaze It is!!! I find myself using it as a kind of meditation for myself from time to time... 😁
That last drone was beautiful!
Thank you so much! Happy you enjoyed it!
Sounds amazing. I kinda tranced out watching this.. So mission accomplished.. 🤘🏼
thank you so much! I kinda did as well making it haha. definitely cut it down from an hour to 20 minutes. ha! having too much fun!
Adding this to my sleep playlist xxxxxx
You should do this again but add in the Boss Space Echo.
😊
definitely will once I get my hands on one! :)
Wow, incredible! I've got the DD-500 and I love the Tera Echo algorithm. I'm definitely going to cop your settings. Thanks!
heck ya! Thanks so much! the dd 500 is an absolute beast! happy exploring!
Well done sir!! Love those drones. Especially distortion and sleepy ones. ❤
Hey! Thanks so much! Appreciate you taking the time and happy you liked it. This combo is too much fun!
Awesome demo
Thank you!
Very nice!
Thanks so much!
You rock. 😊
Sounds great! Are you using a looper to produce these dones?
Thanks! I did not use a looper. The Tera Echo acts as a looper with the feedback cranked around 85-90 percent. It latches on to everything you play which is perfect for building drones. After a few minutes, the latching sound starts to filter out all the high-end frequencies making room to add more layers for a continuous shifting drone!
@@pedalgaze Thats Amazing! I own a TE (I have it for 2 months now) but never realized it made this, lol. Great videos btw, thanks!
@@stefanopellegrini7094 ha! same, I made that first tera echo video and discovered that it did that! It's one of the coolest sonic discoveries I've made in a while! thanks again! cheers and happy exploring!
Nice. What distortion did you use?
Thanks! I'm using the UA dream 65 as the distortion. For anyone interested, I'm on EV12 speaker emulation and have the volume, boost, treble, and bass at noon. The reverb is at 0 I use the Pre knob to adjust the gain. It can go from very subtle to a wash at around noon.
So, for clarity, whats the order of inputs to outputs here?
Reverb is last?
hey ! sorry for the delayed response(no pun intended lol) Here's the signal chain.Guitar -- DD-8 -- Tera Echo -- RV-6 -- UA Dream 65 - focusrite clarett 4pre Let me know if you need me to clarify anything else. It's mono in for the guitar then passing the signal stereo into the interface.
@@pedalgaze cool, I bought the tera and Delay pedals.
Thanks Man!
@@WinItReigns rad! you're going to have a blast!
No space echo?
ha hopefully one day!
