I’ve had mine for 30 years now! I Missing one plastic white tip on the volume but it’s perfect otherwise. I’ve had it on the road countless times over the years. I use it beside my OG B.K. Butler Tube driver that I noisy at the same time and I’ve never needed anything else. I use these two pedals mostly for heavy styles like grunge and other gruff genres.
hello there, I have some doubts, is a EQ first in the chain better than replacing the pickups? and is there much difference between the MXR 10 band frequencies and the Boss GE200 frequencies? Thanks
Yes - it will still have an effect (for the positive). I'm not sure where you're intending to connect the EQ pedal, but just remember it works on mic/line level - NOT speaker level.
100hz on my ge7 doesn’t make any change to eq at all. I think it broken and need a new one but you said don’t worry about 100hz. I think I should be fine using the old one
I had a Boss or Roland (can't remember) 5 band EQ/compressor pedal back in the '80s. I got it in a cover band just to do the bass on "Too Shy", Kajagoogoo which it totally nailed. It was awesome but I can't find any evidence that it even existed or any other compressor/EQ pedal let alone get another one. It was red as I remember but definitely a Boss type case. Am I having a Mandela effect thing or what?
The new versions of this pedal are still noisy and also difficult to impossible to mod. You need an older version of this pedal if you want to get a mod done by a professional.
Have you ever played a Boss GE-7 EQUALIZER Pedal? What did you think??????
How do you use it?
I have this pedal, and I can't begin to explain how helpful and versatile it is. I can make my guitar sound like almost anything I want.
Played for over 50 years. Hands down the best addition to any pedalboard
Great thanks for info about noise great to hear they upgraded newer versions.
Best pedal boss ever made!!!! I have had 3 over the yrs.. I even use a boss bass eq as well in my guitar rigg...

Just bought 1 yesterday, this video is very helpful!! Thanks!
I’ve been using this pedal since it first came out. I think I’ve been through 8-10? The best pedal I’ve ever owned.
How would this work in the effects loop?
Great presentation!
I'm on my second one. True, my first one, late 80s was noisy .

Been using them since the original GE-6 came out...
Will this still work if you don’t have an actual amp head, but a floor power amp into a speaker cabinet

Really a very useful tool. Have you tried the XTS mod on this pedal? Woul be interesting a comparison.

@@toloopy XTS un their site specify they mod newer (SMD) versions of this pedal
I can’t not use it. Has become a part of my tone
Great pedal/tool. The new versions of this pedal are still very noisy and cannot be modded like the older versions.
interesting
The least sexy pedal on my board but also the most important.
Been using one in front as a low-cut/boost for decades 🎚🎸
