I love how DEHH brings on guests and they never detract from the flow or the energy of the videos--in fact they often bring the best out of the crew with their new energy. That's a rare ability.

I don't think yall need to be comparing who beat who on Mona Lisa. It was a story track. Kendrick basically just played the other side. They complimented each other well. Of course Lil Wayne's part was better because he was the star of the STORY

As a HUGE Wayne fan I loved the idea of 23 tracks because we haven’t gotten a REAL Wayne project since 2013 with “I am not a human being 2” and I would’ve been HIGHLY UPSET if I got 12-13 songs because it’s like I know you recorded soooo much music over the past 5 years and 13 songs is underwhelming I’m tryna hear as much of it as possible, if that makes any sense

    • @nyshyn307

jspears19 the second half of Carter II (I see it as starting with the title track) was very artsy. Not to knock C3, Dr. Carter, Misunderstood and Mr. Carter were the only tracks off 3 that I really see as being artistic beyond just having a concept and I don't think the artistic weight of those carry it over tracks like Shooter, Hustler Musik, Receipt, Feel Me, Get Over and Fly Out so I disagree. However C3 is more sonically consistent in quality

i don't think he is a fan but he is happy Wayne is actually trying and becoming more focused with his verses but also he is giving him credit when he is due.Wayne has not been his best for years but you can see more progression.

No one mentioned "Open Letter". This album is so great there's a track for everyone. Not too many artists, specially in rap, that can do this. This album is truly a cinematic experience. I feel critics are never satisfied lol you can get best 2 tracks out each of the top 5 rap albums this year, make an album of it and critics still wouldn't be satisfied lol smh

This is my first Lil Wayne album and I love it. Every track is dope, the production and song writing are top notch. I'm pretty much that Myke "Took His Time" reaction whenever people trash on these songs haha.

I think most of use could agree the intro should have been the outro. Much respect for wayne to have his mom on the album bcuz it is special but damn. i had to pause for a good min before i started Dont Cry....Shit the album would be even worse to start off with Dont Cry. You guys are right and common sense is that he should of came out swinging with BARS!!!

Any chance that Mona Lisa was cut from Good Kid Maad City?
Also, I know it was overly poppy, but I thought Famous was cool. The instrumental sort of reminded me of My Life.

If this was 6 or 8 tracks less this would have been solid imo. I feel like Wayne had to let us know where he’s been mentally and that’s what he did on this album. I will say as well...An hour and half is too.damn.much bruh, But there was some good moments on this. My favorite tracks : Mona Lisa, Dope N****z, Hittas, Demon.

Brah, people say Demon is the worst. Those people are bugging, and Dark Side Of The Moon was great both sonically and musically. Not too much autotune, and Wayne didn’t drown out Nicki. My second favorite song behind Demon is Open Letter. That song is very reflective and relatable!

He could’ve did 13 tracks and it would’ve been top 3 album this year easy. But Pusha T Daytona, Westside Gunn Supreme Blientelle are fire 🔥. It’ll be a top 5-10 album this year but could’ve did away with half the tracks. I start losing interest as the album goes on. The best 20 track plus albums that go down easy would be Kanye’s first two albums

CV was dope but the original version is better, like top 3 Wayne album better. Birdman need his ass whooped for keeping the album on lockdown.
The original versions of most of the songs were better, especially Open Safe, Famous and Mona Lisa.
