Zimmer is probably the father and the composer who makes the best use of the synthesizer, although he has also been repeatedly accused of self-plagiarism. Undoubtedly, "Interstellar" and "The Lion King" are his best works. It is worth noting that for the 2014 film Zimmer used 34 string instruments, 24 wind instruments and 4 pianos, in addition to a choir of 60 voices to create different atmospheres. The greatest quality of this score is its ability to convey emotions.

I love all these. Having a good score definitely helps make a movie so much better. It adds to the feeling. I love it. Great video from a fellow UK movie lover.

Credit where credit is due part of the Gladiator score was written by the wonderful Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance. These were the more soulful and ethereal parts like when Maximus is thinking of home before the opening battle.

Just saw his concert live in Boston and was simply unbelievable seriously. Included the new entry dune as well. 10 out 10. His ability to tie the nature of the film into it's climax and intent helps separate good films from ones we never forget. He's one of the great composers and we're truly blessed to have him. Millions impacted without ever knowing his name.

Oof, where was the Last Samurai on this list? Maybe bested only by the Lion King and Interstellar, I might argue not even.

It is indeed a brilliant track, one of the best of the Bond franchise.
