Sir, could you help me to understand, when we apply a run from our first possition in the morning to 2-nd, noon position, to transfer our Observed Longitude, should we take a 1200 LT as an arrival time or our calculated Mer.Pass for Ship time? The differents is few min only, but it still affects our accuracy. Thank you
@@subhashkumar-po7ch Because the bearing of the body from the observer will always be either due north or due south, and position line is perpendicular to the bearing.
I've learnt so much on your channel more than I have learnt in the classroom. I spend all my day here, so much to learn. Thank you captain
Haha wish i could say the same... :p Thanks Sam, back at sea and still enjoying your vids (Y)

Sir how to calculate the time of meridian altitude of sun?
sir, if i named true altitude by following declination name, will it be wrong?
Sir I have a question, sometimes in question DR lat isn't given, so how we give name to altitude in such case.
Then, some other hint will be given. For example, body is south of observer or north of observer.
@@SteeringMariners thanks sir, got it.

Sir, How to find position line for the same question?
Manish Kumar position line is always East-West (090-270) in merpass 😊
@@SteeringMariners okay. Thank you sir.
@@SteeringMariners Sir can u pls explain why LOP is always E-W in this case??
@@subhashkumar-po7ch Because the bearing of the body from the observer will always be either due north or due south, and position line is perpendicular to the bearing.
@@SteeringMariners sir thanks a lot for response.sir can u explain how position line is perpendicular to bearing?
