What woud happen to an azimute taken at the PMS using the magnetic Compass? Would it be a viable option if i using the Magnetic compass? Great explanation and thank you for disposing your time to make this very informative videos!
Being a officer on board sir this will help me a lot currently completing my pre sea in anglo... Thanks for videos like this sir. ❤ One correction in video the formula to find B is tan (dec) /sin(P).
qUESTION: For the time, wouldn't it be 1329 because it is daytime instead of (0129 the sun is not out that time) and as such the corresponding GHA would be 11 degree 27.3minutes??????
What would happen if the value of A becomes negative. If it comes negative are we able to remove the negative sign by just naming oppositely or do we need to just ignore the negative sign?
Question, the "P" value, do you also apply the LhA rule on a Star observation, where 360-LHA if the LHa is more than 180? Also can you explain more about the correct naming of magnetic error, for example when they are same name as the Variation, when you are trying to get the Deviation?thank you
Yes LHA rule will be applicable to there also . Nd naming of the Deviation is very simple i showed in video also . Please do check out that one again because explaining it here will be a bit difficult
Question, can i use C D M V T method after i get the error from your solving?. The T is AZ= 148.6 and the C is 150 i have variation i will work my way to get M and deviation also ?
sorry just something to clarify if u can pls.. shouldn't u have picked report (i) on the variation and adjust for year? I am under the impression that the -5 and -6 are not necessarily for the year you are on. could you double check ? thank u
Compass error is important for navigation point of view ... If we have a compass error of more than 5 degrees we need to request for the service for magnetic compass. Service engineer actually changes the magnetic bars inside the magnetic compass to adjust the error
@@mdganesh5764 because Gyro error is independent of the magnetic field of the earth.. magnetic compass variation and deviation is the factors for Error , whereas Variation and Deviation we always mention in East or west.
What after you log in the log book. Do we need to verify that deviation is acceptable or within limits or satisfy with some rules and regulations. What an auditor is checking in this log during inspection.
Yes you need to get into account the variation change from the year of the chart and the present year every year its changing in the video i have not taken that

Very good expanation❤
Very Well Explained, Thankyou.
Correction sir.I think the formula for value "B" is Tan Dec : Sin P
Yes
thanks for the correction @gunawansalimu7026

Thnks brother 👍

Fir calculation we always take UTC time not the local time . So the time mention in GPS will be taken for calculation as mentioned in the video
Okay thanks for the clarity. So basically the LMT at that time was 1042... Hence why the true bearing of the sun was SE ?
Formula for B is also wrong
@@mohitchauhan8099then what is it ?
Really nicely explained ❤

Absolutely correct Bhai we do the same
Can u do video regarding working of gyro and why gyro fails in higher latitude.

Thank you so much sir.

Yesss sure its same thing .. i just happen to learn it in a different way.. CDMVT can be used you will get the same answer. 👍
Bro can you explain how CDMVT is calculated?

You are right in this video i have not taken yearly change of variation in the consideration..
Explained well....
Please make video on long by chron
I will make video surely
Good day, I just wanna confirm that small d is 0.8 => it must be plus with Dec, not minus, check again pls
It will be minus because in Nautical Almanac Value of Declination reducing every hour .... So we will minus the d correction
Thanks bro , your video helped me
Your welcome bro
Thank you sir....❤❤
Your welcome nireesh 🙂
Pls the make video about radar ❤
Can you make video sir ,why we are take the compass error?what is the use of that?

@@sailorguide compass error means the difference between gyro heading and magnetic heading ,is ti Correct sir
Then when we find out gyro error ,why we are mentioned the sign in low and high?
@@mdganesh5764 because Gyro error is independent of the magnetic field of the earth.. magnetic compass variation and deviation is the factors for Error , whereas Variation and Deviation we always mention in East or west.
Hello sir ,can you give me the exact answer for speed through water and speed over ground
What after you log in the log book. Do we need to verify that deviation is acceptable or within limits or satisfy with some rules and regulations. What an auditor is checking in this log during inspection.
It should be in a range of your deviation card. If you have more than 5 degree of difference you need to get a service for magnetic compass
Sir, what's the point of determining the Gyro Error? I mean, you are not using it in any calculation?
Its to determine that our gyro is working properly.... Sometimes it can go offset
Sir please let me know what p represent here in this video
If you know about PZX triangle in principle of navigation... That angle P is the same P here in compass error.
Thank 😊
Thank you for video bro
Your welcome ... Glad to help 🙂
Sir we have to find compass error always like this
Yesss only thing is for stars planet and moon few steps are different in calculation
Why S E of the azimuth?
Thank you beta god bless u 🎉
Sir plz complete the ror
I believed you mention declination is 13°50.4', but you wrote 13°51.2'. Btw, thanks for your sharing sir.
Really appreciate that.
Thnk you for appreciating my work 🙂
Dev = 5.0 E?

it seems wrong value of variation
