    Are cell division (mitosis & meosis), male and female reproductive organs included in Embryology?? As we have studied those things also in med school embryology lectures to better understand gametogenesis and fertilization processes!
    Also fertilization, zygote and pre implantation phase is included in developmental Anatomy? Because Structures starts developing after formation of trilaminar germ disc in 3rd week!
    Please answer my queries about tge domain of these subjects.
    I'll be grateful.

    If I remember well, we can call the next development stage of embryo as fetus because of the organogenesis beginning. Not because the fetus looks more like a baby.

    • @MedicoVisual
      @MedicoVisual  4 года назад +1

      You are right, it is "called" fetus because of organogenesis. It marks the "end" of organogenesis, not "beginning". But if you look carefully, the fetus of any organism will resemble the baby of its specie. An embryo of any mammal will look more or less the same. You can Google it.

      Keith Moore's The Developing Human's Tenth Ed. Pg. 91 says "name change is meaningful because it signifies that the embryo has developed into a recognizable human and the primordia of all major systems have formed"

      MedicoVisual - Visual Medical Lectures thank you for response! So is there some name That marks the begining of organogenesis?

    • @MedicoVisual
      @MedicoVisual  4 года назад +1

      Never heard of anything like that. But organogenesis start after third week, when trilaminar germ disc is formed. That trilaminar germ disc is then transformed to different organ systems.
