- In this video Dr. Aizaz from MedicoVisual talks about
00:00 Intro
00:04 Transport of Female Gamete i.e. Secondary Oocyte
02:24 Transport of Male Gametes i.e. Sperms
08:36 Chemoattractants/Chemotactic factors produced by oocyte causes brings the sperms closer
13:14 Role of unsaturated fats in keeping the Sperm's membrane unstable
16:46 Role of Cholestrol in stabilizing the membrane and maintaining the fluidity of cell membrane
18:22 Stable membrane prevents precocious acrosomal reaction
19:56 Removal of seminal glycoproteins and cholestrol efflux hypothesis
21:00 Role of HDL and Albumin cholestrol efflux
23:56 Unstable membrane is more permeable for Calcium and Bicarbonate ions
25:53 Why do sperms love Alkaline medium and hate acidic medium
26:46 What is Capacitation of sperms / Definition of Capacitation and Review

Thanks a lot
Thanks a lott sir 🙏 😊
Good informative lecture. Very helpful for medical personnels
Thank you so much
I want to ask is it possible for the ovary to release two mature oocyte same time... What happens if that happens
My doubt was fallopian tube can move other side and take the egg on other side
Very unlikely. Fallopian tube isn'nt that much mobile structure.
Sir what's ovulation is it release of secondary oocyte or release of ovum from ovary ?
I'm confused is it secondary oocyte undergoes fertilization . Secondary oocyte is immature egg while ovum is mature egg. Sir kindly elaborate why secondary oocyte is used here not ovum and where would be secondary oocyte transformed into ovum ?
Ovulation is release of secondary oocyte. It will be converted to ovum after binding with sperm. These points have been discussed in details in Oogenesis lectures. Please watch these videos first. If you are still confused please do comment after watching these videos.
