Why oogenesis is arrested in prophase 1 of meiosis 1
and arrested in metaphase of meiosis 2 ?

What happens to oogonia that do not develop into oocytes?
They are destroyed by the body
Sir why oogenesis occur before birth and spermatogenesis occur with the start of puberty...
