I like watching this series more than anything else available on television or streaming networks. I really hope that Alex makes a lot on this and finds some cool things in the safes.
I worked for an auctioneer for years and houses like this were a regular occurrence. For two people to move that amount of items in 81/2 days is a record to be proud of. Hope you do well on the auctions.
I'm an auction goer. I always recall an elderly ladies 2 bdroom house packed with enough to fill a semi maybe twice... It was mostly low end stuff and the auctioneer (and buyers too) was getting kinda bored after a few hrs.. Finally an antique feather Christmas tree made in Germany came up on the block. He scored $300 for it. And then says "got anymore of those Christmas trees? " LOL I've never forgotten that. People pack so much stuff in attics and barns. But then people also buy it! The term "barn finds" in the ad always gets me excited. :-)
Alex is such and honest and kind person, who else would vacuum and pick up the yard and leave the house so clean. Also to be so considerate of the owners personal items and made sure they got them back. I hope you make a big profit from this cleanout, you worked so hard, you deserve it. 🥰🥰🥰
I think he will, I have a feeling that there's good things in the two safes and in the boxes we haven't seen yet - you know, the stuff he's been "hiding" from us until now. 😊 - and the Predator alone should bring at least $8000 CAD in my opinion, that's an absolutely stunning piece of pop art!
@@jrand2631 Also, there are the 3 (?) guitar cases from video 1 or 2 that he said he will reveal the guitars inside at the end of the clear-out. He kind of teased that they were a really good find, so we will see.
this place really had an industrial level of stuff in it. it wasn't a house - it was a literal warehouse FULL of stuff. it's amazing how much alex and the team have moved.
Yeah, but both Mary's and the musicians properties was way more cluttered than this one - there were a lot of stuff yes, but most of it was packed neatly in boxes which was relatively easy to move around, whereas in Mary's house it was stuff on top of stuff in huge piles, some of it in boxes, most of it not, and the same goes for the musicians house.
Alex, you and Patrick did an amazing job. I don't know what award Patrick should get but he deserves something good! Thank you for being such a decent man Alex, it means a lot to a lot of people.
Alexander paid him a proper wage, AND he got stuff for his home, as he had just moved, without much with him. So, furniture, Christmas tree, etc. A lot of "hey, do you need this?" and I think Patrick went "actually, yeah!" a lot. So as far as we know Alexander, he paid for his stay, his meals, his wages, AND a lot of extra's, for all the work Patrick did. I have no doubt what so ever, that Patrick got some good stuff indeed! 🥰 Unfortunately with a bit of a flu attached as well. That part anyone wants to skip. I hope he's better soon.
It always amazes me how quickly you get these properties cleaned up and ready for the owners. Stellar work Alexander, Patrick, Josh, bottle guy and family. Edit to add... I love that you left the horseshoe..
Wow, the floor of the house just gave a huge sigh of relief! You, Patrick, your family and Josh all worked together to finish in record time. The estate manager picked the perfect person and must be ecstatic at how much care and respect you showed to the Estate. Wish you the best with the auction!
The owners of the house are happy , I hope, they should be. It's almost a miracle what you've done in a short time. I hope you will be happy after the final count. You absolutely deserve this.
Finding random dimes and pennies is a way of communicating from the beyond, I think they are happy you cleaned and were respectful of how you did it , awesome job 8 days is amazing,, I guessed a month 🤔👏👍
I agree. I find lots of coins and did some research on the internet, some people believe it's spirits communicating, coins have "in God we trust" printed on them.
It’s actually the worst floor plan I’ve ever lived with lived/ lived on an old idea absolutely the worst …two sets of stairs side-by-side one outside one inside makes you crazy crazy awful inconvenient Dreadful. And I’ve lived in I’ve lived and I’ve moved 41 times and owned at least 10 different homes over the years, some of them lived in for many years
@@deborahcaldwell9775 they're both inside? At the moment I have all bedrooms and bathroom and laundry upstairs. Only kitchen and living downstairs. Lord. The amount of stairs every single day.
I believe Deborah is referring to the stairs outside leading off the deck. And the house is called “bi-level,” not split. I’ve owned one exactly the same layout as this and loved it. Having your lower level be so much above grade means you can have full size windows in the basement. In Alberta, where we get six months of winter, it’s lovely to be able to have so much light in a basement.
I don’t think you really appreciate what an amazing person you are. You just go along being you, but all of us who watch you are gobsmacked at your caring, integrity, honesty and sheer physical strength. You add such value to this world. May you profit a hundredfold on the auctions; you surely deserve it. Blessings and love being sent your way from Colorado.
Congrats to you and Patrick, what a great series of episodes. I am so impressed with your honesty, your work ethics and the respect that you showed for the family and for the previous owners. As you donated so much to the charities, you also helped this town as well.
AMAZING accomplishment in record time. As usual, you rose to the occasion with integrity, kindness and honor. I hope you make your money back many times over with the auction and RUclips income. Lord, please bless his socks off! Thanks for sharing what you do with us. We love watching ! Hugs to my girl, Melissa, with ❤from BanDana Gramma ❤
Although I knew Patrick wasn't with you this day - I still expected him to walk behind you back the hall with a sheet over his head! what a great time you've shared with us. It'll be awesome to see the other small goodies that you find in the boxes, safes and jewelry!
I think the dime/s and penny were a 'thank you' from the house ... Really nice house! You did a fantastic job getting it ready to be a home again for someone.
Alex! How do you do it? When my grandfather passed, we had to go through nearly a hundred year hoard. Yup, lived on the farm his whole life. It took us months to do the clear out plus a couple of out buildings. I never want to experience that again. You deserve a hand for helping these folks out. Also special applause for Patrick! Hope the auctions are worth your while! 👏🏻
I suspect that is a lot easier when you aren't emotionally tied to ANY of the contents. Plus, they were working at it full time and Alex knows right away what to get rid of and what can sell. It's so much harder for those of us who just don't know what to do with everything.
We had to sell both the house I grew up in and my grandparents' house in the same year. Grandparents' house had 51 years of stuff in it, a nice little Victorian built in 1878. My childhood house had 32 years of stuff in it. We had to do them both in six months, two houses in six months. 2013 was a hell of a year for us.
The amount of material in the house would've overwhelmed most people I think. You and your helpers are so Awesome ... just wonderful to stress, sweat and rejoice with you in your videos. You are certainly a blessing to all whose lives you touch. Now go and reap your rewards :) +
This house looks remarkable now! Everyone did a wonderful job. Thanks for sharing with these 8 1/2 days with me. Good luck with the auctions. See you in your next video.
Holy cow! I can't believe you guys moved that much stuff in just over a week! Hope you guys get time to recover. Awesome how much stuff went to charity and not in the dumpster! Can't wait to see more videos on what's in the 📦📦📦📦
Amazing transformation! I cannot believe it’s only been 9 days. You are to be commended for your hard work, kindness, and thoughtfulness. May good things continue to come your way. For now, you deserve some rest and relaxation. Congrats on a good finish to the house! 🎉
A tiny part of me will miss watching you uncover all the curious contents of this home. But I won’t miss the stress I felt as you did it and I was only watching snippets! 😅 No wait. You’re not rid of the stuff yet! 😩😂 Brave man.
I could happily live in this beautiful home. Knotty pine paneling is so nice. Hopefully the new owners won't change the house too much. This has been a good adventure. Thank you, Alex and Patrick. 🍂😊🍂
Your video series, like this are some of my favorites, since I did this work back when I was younger and have to agree that for every hour spent at the site clearing and loading equates to another 2 or 3 to process and sell it. Most folks never realize it. They think when you put the last box in the truck, the job is done, but really at that point you’ve just taken the first few steps on the journey to recoup your expenditures. Job done, job well done. And if Patrick is anything like my friends probably said something like don’t call me for at least two weeks. LOL
Great job in such a short amount of time, I would've guessed it would take 2 to 3 weeks, but as you said the house wasn't "dirty" it was relatively clean compared to the last 2 properties and with way less "clutter" as most of the stuff was packed neatly in boxes, but it's still impressive that you two guys did it in only 8½ days. 👍
My mind is absolutely blown - to go from the "before" to the "after" is just NINE days?!?! Truly incredible. Kudos to you and Patrick (and Josh and your family and Hannah.)
You guys did an awesome job! You are getting so fast at cleaning these houses out. I was so happy to see a new cleanout series...it's so interesting to watch!

Alex, it must have felt good to finally close the door and be done with the house, at least that part. It is impressive what you and Patrick accomplished in 8 anf half days. Now the auction!
Wonderful job Alex and Patrick 8 days to clean the house out and leave it as clean as you did hope Patrick is feeling better and you have a bit of a rest watched Josh's video yesterday I think he was very happy with his truck load of stuff waiting for the safe opening video ❤️ from Australia
Wow I can't believe that just a couple people cleared out that house in less than 2 weeks. Also I am very much looking forward to the upcoming video where you go thru the safe(s) you found.
That is really a pretty nice house when you can see it!! Another great and kind job by you Alex. You always leave things and people better than you found them. Can't wait to see the unboxings, really hoping you find real treasures and come out over the top on profits! It was good seeing Patrick. I also agree with what you said, Josh has indeed been what was missing . My best to all. Let the adventure continue, then REST !
Oh, and 8 and half days is amazing, that's a huge amount of work, I don't think anyone else but you and Patrick could have accomplished it that quickly.
Geez Louise! You and Patrick are amazing workers. 🙀 I knew you could do it, but it's still mind boggling. Thanks again for taking us along, and good luck on the next stage of the project. 🍀🥠🌈
It is a lovely home. It is too bad that the owners were overwhelmed. Probably ill health...Alex, you and Patrick and other workers/ family did aewsome. And Melissa and family, I know he came home so tired, but happy to see you all. Busy being a good provider!!
That is an insane transformation in 8 1/2 days! Wow! I haven't watched the auction one yet. Was waiting for the end, so now I can! Amazing job! Love that you cleaned up the house and yard for the homeowners.
My sister's old house upstairs layout was very similar to this one in Virginia. It's like one housing developer/designer said, "You get a split level and you'll get a split level, everybody gets a split level!"

What you two did in 9 days would have taken me 9 mouths of steady work. I would have struggled the whole time over what to sell, donate or throw out. You are a pro!
Hmmm. Pennies from Heaven? Someone or someones might approve. Great series. I am amazed at you and Patrick's hard work but more amazed at your respect and honor showed toward the family and the deceased.
You and Patrick did an amazing job and it was done very quickly considering the amount of stuff in that house . As always you really did a clean up before turning the keys over . Your kindness , consideration and stick-to-it-ness is remarkable in itself . Job well done ! I still can't believe you accomplished it in less than 2 weeks - WOW !!! . I'm absolutely astounded you and Patrick got that place cleared out completely in 8 1/2 days. You're miracle workers, kids.
Agreed!

Wow only 9 days you and Patrick sure got her done!
Good job.

That was mind-blowing Alex. It was a Herculean feat and they couldn’t have sold the contents to a better person. Loved watching these episodes.

Is that the equivalence of saying " they stood me up" ? I have no idea what these new phrases mean.
Dang 🤣
