wow, this helped much more than I expected. I was hit by a car going about 50mph while walking across the street then had a stroke and was paralyzed from the waist down and qi gong helped me to walk again with me invisioning my inner energy and stories of determination and belief in the body's ability to heal itself. I can walk now and would rather experience pain any day than feel nothing. Thank you for helping all of us who have not learned this beautiful practice from birth, it shows us how to health from within that everyone has!
I find Jeff Chands Qigong practices really helpful for my back and hip stiffness. The routines are easy to follow and I like the way Jeff Chand explains clearly why we are doing specific movements and the effects they have. Thank you Jeff Chand
Been watching u for over a year. Never gets old. I kinda stopped doing qigong and yoga all together and I ended up having such bad back pain I'd have to take pain killers. The information on the pain/tension cycle is honestly probably exactly what happened to me. :) Thank you. Let's heal this body on my own terms, with your help!
This was so helpful for my severe lower back pain. Couldn't get out of a chair or stand upright without assistance. The acupressure points were so incredibly sore, but I kept at it and the next day I was 70% improved. Amazing. Thank you
I develop back pain from carrying my backpack on my back This routine brought me almost immediate relief. (I've since learned it is better on the back to carry the backpack on the front of the body). Thank you, Jeffrey!
What a great sequence. I'm tall, 6' 1 and this is a real treat. Along with other routines I find I'm breathing more deeply, feeling more alive. At 65 this is making a quiet, bright, happy change in my life and general well being. Thank you, Jeff, ace sequence. Best, Jay
Hugely helpful thank you so much! I've checked out many more elaborate routines and this routine has helped me from the first time to relieve a chronic condition that is in repeated acute flare-up this year...thank you so much!
Hi Jeffrey I don't know how to thank you my lower back is getting better and better. I had an accident in 17 years ago my L3 & L4 got miner bulge. My Orthopaedic Dr gave me exercises and with the second MRI it was fixed. But always if I bend wrong way I get the pain. Now I am getting old I am getting my pain almost every day. Now started getting hip pain as well. When I found your video from the first day I found good results. Today is my fourth day I feel Soo good. I use to take two Panadol morning & night now I am taking once a day. Thanks Jeff you are getting very good merits. Through out my Qigon practice I am thanking you.
Your exercises and explanations are extremely helpful. Completed this practice after unloading our van following 9 weeks as a snow bird. It was extremely beneficial. Thank YOU
Thank you Jeffrey Chand , suffering acute low back pain , day 1 had to do sitting in chair , day 2 , today able to stand to complete your routine . I am very grateful
thank you very much. My back feels better already and with your instruction i felt chi flow from hands to kidneys down legs (tingles) for first time. before i didn't feel that. so grateful. I will check out your website. peace. carol
Hi Jeff! I had a bad fall yesterday at home (tripped over my own feet while doing a cardio workout!), and when I fell I wrenched my lower back really badly. It hurt so bad, and I didn't want to go to the ER, because I know they will just hand out pain pills. I went to a chiropractor instead, and he did some gentle adjustments and stretches, and advice for things to do at home. Will be seeing him 3x a week for the next few weeks. Then today I thought to look up Qi Gong for back pain, and found this one. I did everything very gently, because I know that my back is very inflamed right now. I will try to remember to do these exercises daily, and hopefully it will help. Thank you for providing this video!
Perfect timing. I feel some relief, it's the right side of my back just above the hip. I bring my knee up to my chest and the muscle feels tight. I'll keep doing this and drink a lot of water.
Hi Jeff, many thanks for this your videos. They are easy to watch and understand and your instructions are clear. Great for beginners to qi gong. Incidentally the acupressure/patting the area around the elbow, gave me a great and much needed release of grief from stimulating the lung meridian. keep up the good work!
I've watched and followed along with 2 of your videos now and my back already feels so much better. I'm going to try to do your back routine every time I take my pain pills(3 times a day) and one or two of your others daily(if I can remember to, I have a horrid memory and have to use alarms to remember my meds already) I have bone degenerative disease in my lower back and a bulging disc at the bottom of my spine and your videos just took away the pain that my pills left behind. Besides that, your voice is very soothing and helps me get into a meditative state of mind. I can't thank you enough for making these videos.
That is so wonderful to hear that practicing has helped your back pain! It made my day to hear that! I also like that you are using a combination of everything - your medication, Qigong, setting alarms to remind yourself. All of this is very good! You may find that you can add in other exercises and stretches in the future as your pain reduces and your body gets stronger. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much Jeff, I just finished your short qigong session for lower back .... and I am free of pain and discomfort. You are always very helpful and kind. Be blessed forever and always.
I am so very glad I found you this morning. I did your back pain exercise and I feel better. Mostly I feel better because finding your videos gives me hope. Purchasing DVDs is hard on a limited income.
Yes, hope is very important in life and in wellness! While I don't know exactly what the source of your back pain is, keep practicing Qi gong to relax the muscles and gently stimulate circulation, and look into McKenzie exercises for back pain and I'm sure you'll find some relief! I hope all goes well!
Thank you for sharing! My lower back was very stiff. This really did help relax the muscles gently. Those acupressure points were “ow” and that was the trick.
Oh my goodness! I was sitting at the computer, not really feeling like standing up because of the pain radiating from a nerve in my lower back. Prolonged sitting or standing irritates this nerve and causes extreme pain that can last all day. I came to this video seriously looking for something other than pills that only hide the pain and is temporary. I've visited my doctor and the chiropracter, and even those adjustments and exercises seemed temporary, and takes a long time to actually feel anything. The source of my pain did not seem the same as the lower back pain, but after a few minutes of half heartedly following your instructions, at the end while listening to you I realized the pain I had been feeling was gone! OKAY!!! Now I am placing this on my morning 'wake up regimen'. I don't know if it will actually cure the cause of the pain, but even getting relief without having to take pain meds or having to visit any type of doctor is cause for celebration to me. Thanks for sharing this information. I am also sharing it with FB friends and family.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! That's very exciting! We all need to find our own "way." The right combination of treatments, supplements, relaxation, stretching, and breathing. It sounds as if you are finding what works for you, which is excellent!
Great routine once again. Started doing the anxiety one which really helped last year. I Developed mid back ache around 4 weeks ago, think it’s time spent sleeping on the sofa while my sister stayed when she was having her house renovated. Anyway, it’s been hanging around so hope this helps.
I really felt this on my left arm and shoulder and back. My left elbow area was more sensitive then the other one. I do sleep on that side a lot. Will definitely keep doing this one. It has already helped relax that side. I need to keep doing these more often. I do also have a sciatica on my left leg too.
This reminded me of quigong classes I did many moons ago. I have just found out I have a synovial cyst on my lumbar spine and wanted to know if these exercises will help with that, especially the twists as it is pressing a nerve.
@@ThinkVitalityQiGong Jeff is one of your videos' for liver meridian? Can't seem to find?? not giving myself a chiropractic adjustment Jeff 😊 loved the acupressure on the elbow and turning the moon. I'm totally crooked, not the criminal kind either... loved the warming the kidneys, would this be good for energy too? sharing with my friends on facebook, thank you 😍

Nice video. And i bet somebody already mentioned it at some point but the Lung points you are striking near the elbow would be Lung 5 and 6 rather than Lung 9.

Is there any chance you could do a video on this practise as yours are so user friendly? Thanks Jeff.
your breathing exercises towards the end, where you breathe in and out, do you do abdominal breathing, where when you breathe in, your stomach expands, and when you breathe out, your stomach contracts? If yes, I find it easier to breathe in as my hands go down and vice versa. Is that okay?

your breathing exercises towards the end, where you breathe in and out, do you do abdominal breathing, where when you breathe in, your stomach expands, and when you breathe out, your stomach contracts? If yes, I find it easier to breathe in as my hands go down and vice versa. Is that okay?
