Quincy Jones told Angelina he hadn’t seen a young singer that was so amazing since Michael Jackson.Quincy loves Angelina so much he requested her to sing for him at his 85th birthday concert at the 02 Arena in London England 🏴 back in 2018. The first time I heard her sing (I put a spell on you) I thought she sounded like Billie Holiday reborn. This song brings this to mind again. As a child I loved BH and I wonder if that was the same for her.
Omer Bhatti was the young man on the jury when Angelina Jordan first appeared on NGT. He later became friends with the family. He drove his car with Angelina several times, and she almost always spontaneously started singing. In the interview he said that he always had to stop to listen to her. He just couldn't go any further. Besides, his mother worked for Michael Jackson. He himself lived at Neverland Ranch from 1998 until MJ's death and is regarded by MJ's children as a brother. After MJ's death, he returned to Oslo. He also put AJ in touch with MJ's mother when AJ asked if she could do a cover of Billy Jean. Omer Bhatti is one of the lucky few people who knew or knows the King of Pop and the Queen of Jazz personally.

Apart from Angelina's amazing vocals and rearrangement of the original, she manages to turn it into a story telling song. She's telling a story here where you can really listen to the lyrics and what they mean. Unbelievable!

Who has the guts to do what Angelina Jordan did here? She took Billie Jean from a legend and made it jazzy. I understand, even to me was a big difference. Ok, here are a couple of songs that really shows Angelina’s talent. I know you will really enjoy them both. There are dozens of reactions to both and the reactions are all very positive. The first song by James Brown goes back to her roots. The second song is more contemporary and was produced in a studio. There is an interesting back story to that song. I think it could have been first released under her name, if not for a snag.
The first one is a live performance with a band in Oslo of IT’S A MAN’S WORLD recorded by a fan in the audience. My guess is that Angelina had listened to this from a young age because of her grandmother’s influence. She just owned this song and made it look easy. Yes, it was recorded by a fan, but that didn’t detract from her performance at all. She was 12 years old. You can find the original on RUclips using this search…..minus the brackets

The next very popular song is a song she demo’d at the request of a songwriter that goes by the name Baby Fuzz. The song is called I’M STILL HOLDING OUT FOR YOU. I believe it was recorded in his studio, but in any case, the studio did a great job. Very professional recording. I’m sure it would have been released, except Angelina’s family nixed it because the lyrics could be interpreted, just in one spot about suicide. It’s a great song and it probably would have been a big hit. I think Angelina was around 14 when she did the recording, but I’m not sure. The original RUclips copy was leaked and I couldn’t find it any more. But I did find an exact copy of the original leaked version, that can be found by this search on RUclips…

Same words, different story. Michael Jackson's version was full of frenzy, bordering on hysteria. It was wonderful. Angelina's version was almost the polar opposite. She sits back and calmly recounts almost with apathy one of the oldest stories known. It was wonderful.

Great reaction again! And I really feel you here. Uninstalling MJ's original takes some time. This is THE cover by her that took me the longest time to get under my skin. NOW though, it is in my top 15 by her, no lie. It is genius to do this at age 15. Taking one of THE most iconic songs ever, by the king op pop, and completely reinvent it like this. She has always been so extremely confident in her own abilities, and for good reason I daresay. Angelina is an exceptional artist, rarer than just a generational talent. It's hard to describe her justly.
