My skatepark was recently closed so we resorted to skating in the streets. But the sad thing is we get a lot of dirty looks and stares and it's ironic because people like them are the reason why our park got closed in the first place. And we explain to them that this is the only place that we can skate because the park is closed and they still don't understand. But the other day an old lady came up to me and called me over so that I can speak with her,she wasn't hostile at all and she told me about how she owned a skatepark and how she would host competitions, she told me it's nice to see kids out in the streets again and she doesn't like the people that tells us differently. That was the first time an older lady said something good to me about skateboarding.
i'm really happy to see that some old people are ok about skateboarding, that they are imprssed about what we do and not thinking it's a dumb and dangerous sport.
There is this channel about a guy on his 50's learning to skate, another about this guy on his 40's that came back after a while, or this carpenter on his 30's that never stopped and share his knowledge about skate physics. There are a lot of older people not only totally ok with skateboarding, but actually skating ;)
most pople aren't like that. only a few and it's mostly just some clichee. People like Rogan and Peterson are trying to use that and make themselves seem cool. they probably think they can get skaters to support their political views. I don't think it will work. I would hate to see skateboarding being associated with their world view.
Never liked Lil Wayne's music but my god I've always had an admiration for the way he looks at skateboarding. He's not the best but you can truly tell he loves it and it's so refreshing to see rather than some celebs that use skating as some form of clout.
Thing with Wayne is, he wanted to be a pro skateboarder all his life but his family forced him into music, because his uncle Warren G saw he had talent. He didn't dislike music at all and it has always been one of his passions but now that made it as one of the most successful rappers of all time, he pretty much retired and focused on skating. He only does features and the odd single here or there but most of his time is spent skating.

Kid, I’m 40, I literally have hundreds of boards stockpiled at my house. I have every shape you can imagine, I just chose this one today lol.
I feel your pain kids just don’t know. I was out walking my dog right my dog hates skateboards this guy rides by and my dog goes crazy but she stops as he passes. Then he turns around and walks up and says your wearing a thrasher hat but don’t have a skateboard. I looked at him and said I’m 43 my dog hates it so I don’t bring it with when I walk her. He proceeds to call me a poser so naturally I just walk away saying to myself kids these days. I’ve been skating since I was 7 I’ve been on a board longer than your mother has been alive.

This just tells me you don't have real friends or none at all cus it's obvious they random people and what he said at the end was don't give me no cheers for that weak ass Ollie or something.

Jordan Peterson's statements at the end of the video deserve a lot of credit. You can tell he is genuinely passionate about fostering the human spirit in others. That's what makes him such an amazing educator and interesting to listen to.

Lemme hold a board
Besides Tony Hawk & Jason Lee, Lil Wayne genuinely can skate.
Watching Owen grind that rail was so entertaining to me for some reason.
It's a skit
Jordan Peterson said it best “ leave those damn kids alone”
Thanks for sharing this vid!
It’s good to see people are waking up and seeing how awesome skateboarding is and how beneficial it is for those who participate in it :)
unpopular opinion - but jordan peterson was the OG of these statements
Kanye - Doesn't do an ollie
His Minions - "we want to stay on your payroll and get the benefits of hanging out with you so we are going to hype your non-existent ollie like you just did one!"
his ollie looks like mine (i just got back on a board after several years of epilepsy ruining everything for me physically and taking away my nerve or motivation to skate, not that i was great before but i was basic and had been skateboarding on and off since i was a kid) i'm just learning it again and everytime i think i've got it my body just doesn't get the message and i wind up with the most important part of the trick not happening. everytime ive filmed it the last week to watch what i'm doing wrong, it looks like kanye
This just tells me you don't have real friends or none at all cus it's obvious they random people and what he said at the end was don't give me no cheers for that weak ass Ollie or something.
they were just being nice and hyping him up to give him confidence. you shouldn’t ever bring someone down for skating, especially if they’re trying. and you can tell he knows it isn’t the best either. plus he said don’t give me cheers for that weak ass ollie. lmao
dont be mean to the guy hes literally over 40 and hes a beginner we were all there
Kanye literally called them out for that if you watch the clip. He said “don’t give me any of that weak ass shit”.
I love how it just says dolan twin not his actuall name
Respect to Owen Wilson, that blunt slide was totally unexpected. Pharrell too!
It was Koston… still a fun skit though
sometimes you forget celebrities do things besides being celebrities-
That casey neistat clip made me bust out laughing etch is extremely rare 🤣🤣🤣
"Come on, man. It's 2003!"
Jordan Peterson's statements at the end of the video deserve a lot of credit. You can tell he is genuinely passionate about fostering the human spirit in others. That's what makes him such an amazing educator and interesting to listen to.
Jeez... I'm with everyone here about that Jordan Peterson part... That made my day and I'm almost 30 lol.
Peterson seems to understand the courage and persistence skateboarding builds.
4:15 Finn Wolfhard references Mac DeMarco... JIZZJAZZ STUDIOS
Jason Lee is a legit pro that holds his own with the proest of pros bro. Having him on this is poppycock. "Just cuz a guy reads comics he can't start some shit!?"
Some are pros! Some are generic! And some are straight up posers!
The seinfeld segment nailed it. I love it when skaters are sarcastic. It's part of the language. Jason and Finn were so funny. Especially Finn!
"Hey, teacher....
...leave those kids alone!"
The Owen Wilson part is from the Yeah Right! video
I was not expecting Owen Wilson of all people to hit two blunts like he did first try. Like what?
That not Owen Wilson hahaha it’s been a funny video going around for years
What Jerry Seinfeld said was super cool! I had never seen that clip before! Also Emma's part killed me! It couldn't stop laughing 😂😂😂
Lil Wayne aka guitar GOD
The lollipop solo eclipses any solo by clapton and Hendrix
I was waiting for Hopsin to appear in a clip... Oh well 🤷🏻♂️ dope vid
You forgot Hopsin in the video.
i would never expect owen wilson to be so gnarly
doesnt tyler take iligeal civ on tour w him
Jason Lee will always be a skateboarder talking about celebrities, not the other way around.
Yooooo new video been looking forward to it.
Really enjoyed the last interview
Alright but is anyone gonna talk about the smooth ad drop or??
Max Eguia haha
Celebrates talk about skating is a good caption. Wouldn’t really call this skateboarding (If skill is part of the equation) however I am stoked to even see the effort.
Was Jason lee reenacting that news scene from animal chin😂
I remember watching the skate video " Girl Yea Right " when I was 11 and still couldn't believe it was Owen Wilson Tail-sliding down that rail.
It’s koston man
"Com'on its
two thousand three
Jason still has the cleanest tre flip around
Him and Nyjah.
PJ is still alive
