I can absolutely attest to the fact that skateboarding all my life has taught me to push and persevere through life. All the slams I took but still got up and kept trying until I landed it, I now relate that to my culinary career and what it takes just to learn and progress in the culinary industry. I totally agree when I see kids skateboarding and falling but getting back up to try again, I know that kid will be alright! Keep on pushing yourselves guys and girls! You are going places! I have a lil skate footage on youtube called “funky town homies” but that was me 20+ years ago. Go skateboarding now! Much love to the skate community!

This is literally the most basic simple editing there is. If you knew nothing about editing, you can learn in 5 mins how to do this whole video. WTF are you talking about? You must know absolutely nothing about editing and what you’re talking about. So even you could have edited this video the exact same way with 5 mins of learning how to do it. Your comment is so ridiculous I had to say something. This is literally what we learned our first week in audio/video101 (a/v) class in middle school (the beginners class knowing nothing about it)

The Dr. Peterson clip is excellent. It’s a chapter in his book eh, 12 Rules For Life. Rule 11: “Do not bother children when they are skateboarding”. In fact the entire interview on Dave Rubin’s show is very illuminating. He has so much love in his heart for people and he just wants to see his fellow humans do as well as they can, and kids learning to be courageous and face their fears and have perseverance in spite of countless failures, by skateboarding, is something that should entirely be encouraged. Skating is good for the mind, body, and soul. There’s countless stories of people that testify about how skating saved their life, or how it was their escape from hardships and misery, and how it made their life so much better than it could ever have been without. 💙

I love that you used a clip of Jordan Peterson. I love the way he breaks down topics in such detail. Jonah Hill is awesome too, he gets the earlier era of skating and respects it. The majority of celebs that talk about skating don’t know shit. It’s PR to most of them, nothing more, nothing less. But the majority of these clips, the people know what’s good. Some interesting outlooks of skating.

The most legit one here is Jonah Hill. He got known just hanging out at his local skate shop even though he couldn’t skate, he just loved and embraced the culture without trying to be a poser about it lol. And he’s maintained his love for it his whole life and that’s just admirable. I’m sure other videos can tell a way better story about it than this comment, but it’s why he did that 90’s movie about a bunch of skater kids, cuz just like me that was all we had to do back then. Before jackass even… we just went and found ways to either hurt ourselves or overcome some obstacles and grow from it like the kid going over the roof lol. We all that that one spill that made us rethink everything, but the fact that we got right back on the board shot us up like 10 levels, and we’d just get better with every hard hit we took back then lol.
Now at 36, when I take a hard hit like I did last summer, that’s it for me for the season haha 😂🤦🏻♂️
