Marilyn, Marilyn, Marilyn....Every time I watch you you make me want a new tool or a new machine!🤣🤣🤣Seriously - I love the projects you did and the fact that you sacrifice time over quality.
Naomi, thank you for watching! I definitely will spend the extra time over the speed. The camera really didn't how how much better it looks on the slow speed, but it really makes a big difference.
Thank you Kelly. Yes, it is hard to justify the price unless using it for business. As lasers become more common, hopefully prices will drop to where they are more affordable.
This is a really helpful video, as someone looking at this laser! - the software youre using to do everything - is that included with the laser? can you just use an included software and not worry about lightburn etc? also, whats the thickest obect you can do? I assume there is a limit to the laser's ability to focus? looks like the tags you did are only 1/4 inch thick or so. If I had a cube that was 2, or 3 inches, would I be able to engrave that? whats the height limit?
The software that I am using is included. I do not use LightBurn at all. Yes, the tags are thin. I would check xTool's website for the exact specifications.
Thanks for the video. Have you come across some metals that just won’t engrave? Looking at the issues with the leading zeros in the width, I thought Xtool was supposed to fix it in the latest release. Are you using the latest xcs software?
I have been able to engrave all the metal things I have tried. Oh my, I guess I should actually update the software when it prompts me to! Thank you for letting me know about it being fixed.
@@MakingwithMarilyn the package did not say. I bought them on Amazon. They marked a tiny bit but you could hardly see it and I think that was max power, speed of two for a vectorized QR code and text.
Hi! I know this is off of today's topic, but I was told that you might have been the one at sublimation camp that had the No coffee, No talkie file, but I can't seem to find it again.
I had coffee designs, but nothing that said that. I have used a cute design from Creative Fabrica before. It's in a bundle and says "Coffee before Talkie" www.creativefabrica.com/product/coffee-sublimation-bundle-24/ref/1340608/
@@elizabethagee4313 I was still on the Bone Shaped Stainless Steel material setting, but I adjusted the speed setting. So I did 100% power at a speed of 10.
I love learning about this machine from you Thank You Marilyn for keeping our minds growing
Thank you, Heather.
This is the Best Video I've seen ..You explain things perfectly... Thank you
Thank you very much!!!

Great job. I would love to see the Xtool F1 Ultra in action.
Those turn to beautiful! I wish I could afford one of those machine. Great Video

Hello Marilyn I can’t engrave on 18k gold pendant would appreciate your setting suggestions. Thanks in advance
I'm sorry but I haven't ever engraved on 18k gold in order to be able to make good suggestions.

@@MakingwithMarilyn I had trouble getting an6 kind of marking on the metal usb drives, even at speed of 2…. Have a great day!
@@crashgtr oh no! I think I may have done a USB drive in one of my first videos. Do you know what type of metal yours is?

Love it!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you RUG'l!
Hi, Great video - thank you. Do you know if there's a way to make it look more like actual engraving ie. not black?
So, just down into the metal without black? I would imagine multiple faster passes, but I'm not sure. I really wanted the engrave to show as black.
@@MakingwithMarilyn Thank you!!
What about the material you used for candle tin top
Thanks for watching, Elizabeth. What are you asking about the candle tin top?
@@MakingwithMarilyn what was ur material setting you use when doing the candle tin top, example: metal sheet, metal business card,Ect.
