A couple tips that may help, or give another option. *To put in a size that’s .xx. Start by putting a zero and then the dot and your numbers ( 0.18) *When you have a small spaces or want to be a little more exact on placement, choose outline on your framing instead of rectangle. You will see an outline of the actual design instead of the size of the largest parts. *Blue light can in fact engrave on stainless steel jewelry without marking spray, and you can get colors on both lasers. I wish I could show a photo here for you of my test tag. *Instead of trying to set up the placement on the bed, click outline, framing, and then use your mouse to move the design around a little at a time until it’s close to where you want it, then use your arrow keys to fine tune it to perfection, when perfect click stop framing, proceed * If you are doing more than one, place the locating bracket on the bed, line up the product against it on both angles. When you finished the first and are just changing the name, all you have to do I’d place the next product against the bracket and double click the text and retype . That’s it. Ready to go
Thank you for the tips. I was told that if I update my software, the issue with the .xx will be fixed. I would love to see your picture. You can either email it to me or you can join the Facebook group and post a picture there. Let me know if either of those are an option for you.
🙌you don’t have to delete the name when making another, just rename it in place. Also previewing as object mode instead of rectangle will show a better view, it happened to me the square shows is centered and aligned but then the letters are engraved too high or too low. I bought a magnifying loupe🤓
Hi Marilyn, like your videos. I find they are very helpful for me when I watch you interact with your media and show what your doing on the PC at the same time. Quick question, could you put masking tape on the bracelets to help with the framing?
Hi and thank you for your informative and inspirational videos 👌This is just my personal preference, but i find it much easier to move the item to be engraved to the framed area.Just make the text/shape to be engraved in the software, hit framing, and then move the item into the frame, done, perfect fit each time. And also the outline framing is great sometimes.
Thank you so much for sharing your tip. I often do it that way too, but I was afraid the tiny little bracelet wouldn't be straight:) I may try it that way next time, though.
Hello Marilyn! I also have the F1 and your video was helpfull. I got a neighbor who ask me to engrave a bracelet just like the one on your video and I was able to do it because of your help. Any advice to clean the piece after engraving? Greetings from Guatemala ✨

Thank you very much! I haven't tried engraving through a painter's tape but I will try that out.

Hello! I want to engrave silver jewelry but I don't want the engraving to be too dark. Can you put a clear engraving? fine? thank you so much
You can adjust your settings to make it less dark. Also, to make your engraving fine, you would use a fine narrow font.

Thank you very much for your comment! I clean mine up with rubbing alcohol.
When you frame it, do you look for laser to simulate the engrave like when with embroidery
Yes, that is one way. The other option is to frame around the very outside. It’s nice to have both options.

How does it do with sterling silver or gold?
I'm sorry, but I haven't used it with those materials.
