I used to work two jobs for a total of 11-14 hrs and that literally killed me. My feet hurt so much. And I felt so burned out and exhausted. I could not keep going after 6 months. I had to just do one job. My doc told me I needed to rest to feel better. And he was right. The pain went away. And I could walk without constant pain. Nurses are literally insanely hard working humans.

One thing I hate about AN job is I feel like a maid, doing ADL for patients is very tiring and changing bedsheets when they poop, urine, changing diapers, feeding them etc . I love nursing studies but not bedside nursing as it is very demanding and sometimes hardly have time to rest or even drink water or go toilet, in the long run as a nurse, our health also suffer because of all the hazards and long hours of standing.. and the 5 moments of hand washing always makes my hands super dry with all the cleansing before and after. It is very tough to be a nurse
US is always in need of more nurses if you are ever interested. That’s crazy they make assistants work 15hrs. Nurses here would get 1.5x overtime pay after 12hrs.

You should never give up until you tried. Nursing isn’t hard. You may have to study more if your education background is not a lot of science classes. Overall, I don’t know anyone who failed nursing school. They retake a class and graduate anyway. In the end it doesn’t matter if you graduate this year or next month or even next year. You will all come out working and the majority of patients won’t appreciate you anyway. That is just how the profession is. Sure there are some grateful patients but there are some very ungrateful ones as well. But you do what you want to do.

외국 간호사들은 보통 유니폼 입고 출퇴근 하는게 신기해요 셰프로 따지면 위생복 같은 개념 아닌가여? 보통 주방 벗어날땐 외투입거나 밖에 입고 돌아다니지 않는게 기본인데 간호사들은 그런건 아닌가봐요

나이들면 젊을때 약간 심하게 몸을 쓴게 부메랑이 되어 돌아옵니다 어디 안가고 돌아온다는사실 15시간 근무후 30시간을 쉬어도 마찬가지입니다 역치넘어 일함은 늙어서가 아니라 곧1년안에 오기도합니다
ㅈ나 공감.. 공부도 점진적으로 오르는게 아니라 계단식으로 오르는 것처럼 피로와 육체적한계가 축적되다가 체력이 한번에 팍 깍여버림
그걸 모르고 일하는 사람 없습니다. 그런데 한국에서는 정시 출근해서 새벽퇴근에 수당 없는 곳도 많아요

난 9시간 야간도 힘들던데..대단하시다
그렇다고 그냥 쉬어버리면 굶어죽어요

15 hours is crazy. We do 12 hour shifts in US. Some people pick up and work extra day. Because most nurses work 3 day 12hr each day.
