The difference between Assault Rifle and Batle rifle is the round it fires. An assault rifle has an intermediate bullet with small recoil, like an M16 bullet, the 5.56, is a 22 caliber bullet with a lot of powder and minimal recoil. A battle rifle has a high power round with a bullet smaller than a sniper rifle and intermediate-hard recoil. The smallest bullet a battle rifle can have is a 308, 7.62×51, which has a 30 caliber bullet and more powder with decent recoil without full auto.

Terrie Collins SMH........ terrible.... any calibre can be used as sniper. A .22lr can be used to "snipe" something. Also .30 calibre is probably the most used calibre by snipers, with that being the bullet fired from a "battle rifle" is most likely exactly the same as the bullet fired from a sniper. ie: The FAL is one of the most used battle rifles in the world. It fires the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. Which is the exact same round the M40A3 fires. Also almost every battle rifle ever created in the past 50 years has had a selector switch for full Automatic fire.

The difference between the Scar-L and Scar-H is that the Scar-L shoots smaller weaker rounds (5.56) hence the bigger mag, and the Scar-H shoots bigger (7.62) rounds, hence the small mag, but more damage.

Nah, the FAL and the M14 are too different.
the scar h is chambered in 308. and the reason it's a battle rifle is the round it shares with DMR's and bolt action rifles. and the scar l is a "assault rifle" is because the round it shares with the m4 m16 hk416 and other 5.56 NATO guns. I was going to point that out. Many games make the AN-94 a very overpowered gun and while it is for an Assault Rifle, it's nowhere near as strong as they make it look(looking at you Battlefield 4).

Yagami Raïto what's your favourite ,ghost was incredibly bad ,mw3 was very good but has less perks and attachments and same with mw2 and black ops 1,cod 4 is old barely has any weapon ,only 2 shotguns ,no special grenades ,no attachment ,can only use one perk too many campers,grenades abusers,spawn campers,black ops 3 snipers is impossible but the game is fun and good otherwise ,aw supply drops made it pay to win ,too futuristics and have to try hard ,too much going on and you can't relax and play continuous thinking otherwise the game is fun,iw is dog shit,ttk is too quick people with slower internet will kill you because if lag compensation ,black ops 2 did have disconnection issues but when the game gets going it was perfect ,ttk was perfect ,hit detection made the game feel better even though it's not the best ,black ops 2 is the only game which if they release it as a new game people it would feel like a new game and not remastered,if you blame lag then it's your fault ,the game was fun with my fast internet ,people with fast internet should be in the advantage not disadvantage since we're paying more

I still remember the day I was playing on mw3 on lockdown SnD and was trying to ninja defuse I hid behind the counters in the market area and about 3 people walked around me one of my favorite moments in a cod game ever. 3rd favorite cod
The Scar-H was designed specifically to shoot very long ranges while maintaining accuracy in the deserts of Afghanistan. The Scar-L, I believe, was made later and was designed for more up close combat.

The Difference of Assault Rifles and Battle Rifles: Usually ARs have faster fire rate but they do less damage because the bullets they fire are not that big like the BRs bullets so they do less damage.

AR stands for ArmaLite Rifle which is a semi automatic rifle. Very important for people to know this as people think the "AR" in AR-15 stands for assault rifle(fully automatic) and want to ban it. Either way, they are not getting mine :)

Careful when using the acronym "AR" for Assault Rifle.

The SCAR is probably my personal favorite assault/battle rifle, especially in MW3. It's very accurate, super controllable recoil, carries its damage well, and has that versatility. I used one with a suppressor and heartbeat sensor and would just go stealth and hunt people.

I was born into the military and going into the Marines after high School so if you need to know anything about weapons or anything military related, I'm your guy.
A battle rifle is a rifle chambered in a full power cartridge, like the FN Scar, FN Fal, G3, M14 and so on. An assult rifle is a rifle chambered in an intermediate cartridge like the AK47, STG44, m16, FN FNC and so on.

Basically a Battle Rifle like you said on the wiki, the SCAR H is chambered in 7.62x51mm. Because it's such a heavy round, a lot of militaries don't issue them, because they are generally heavy and you cannot carry more ammunition. 5.56x45mm is a faster velocity as well and has a better wounding effect on people, as the bullet would stay in the body of the target causing it to tumble and create a greater cavitation yaw. In a nut shell XD

In COD history there have been a lot of BRs that have were classified as ARs like the FAL, M14, SCAR-H. And also carbines that were classified as ARs or SMGs like the Commando, M4, G36C, AK-74u, MTAR.
The L is like being hit with a car, the H is like being hit by a bus with Nitrous. Fun fact about the SCAR weapons is that they have ambidextrous controls to help with the already highly versatile weapon.

Heavy Machine Guns (HMG) or Light Machine Guns (LMG) are all belt fed not magazine fed. Also the caliber of bullet fired does not matter. The SCAR-H is an assault rifle chambered to fire the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. the H means heavy and the L means light, based on the rounds they use. the SCAR-H also normally has 20 rounds in the magazine compared to the SCAR-L's 30 round mag
White_Bread904 The SCAR L uses a STANAG mag, which is mainly used by NATO countries that use the 556x45 nato bullet. The scar h uses the 762x51 nato round. the mag size isnt really determined by anything but game balance.
Battle rifles usually fire higher caliber rounds (e.g. 7.62 NATO) and traditionally have smaller magazine/box sizes because of the bullet, and assault rifles, smaller sized rounds (e.g. 5.56 NATO) but has more bullets in the mag/box. (Apologies if I did get anything wrong, I was taught this by a friend of mine who owns a gun range and a large amount of weapons).

Hollow, an assault rifle is a full auto rifle chambered for an intermediate cartridge (5.56 for the scar-L) and a battle rifle is a rifle chambered for a full size cartridge (7.62 for the scar-H)

I love the cod MW2 SCAR-H.The only thing that kept me from using it a lot,the ammo and mag cap.
the difference depends on caliber and firerate and weight along with other things. A battle rifle is a soft medium between LMGs fire power but with ammo capacity of an assault rifle and it is lighter than an LMG but heavier than an assault rifle like the M14 which is a battle rifle (and many people do not know this because video games lead you to believe other wise) and that it was fully automatic and held 20 rounds, while the M16 is an assault rifle because it is much lighter held 20 in a standard issue mag (we are talking about in 'nam as a reference) or 30 if you were lucky it also used a much smaller caliber than the M14. Also the FNFal is a battle rifle for this same reason.
