@@DaneTygheletsdrive haha good ole Wexford! if I hadn't of passed I would have definitely tried to hunt down your info to grab a few lessons! Will be be recommending you thanks again!
Hi Dane, thank you so much for all your great videos. I had a fantastic instructor but your videos really helped me understand certain topics that I was able to revise outside of the car. I passed first time today and couldn't be happier 👍🚗
Passed my test first time today, have to say your videos are hugely beneficial and were definitely a huge factor in helping me pass. Thanks for all the great work you do in helping us all become safe and competent drivers!👍🤩

Hi Dane, thank you so much for all the videos and learning tips. Question around gears and speed, if the manual car give you gear you should be or when to change, can I go with this guidance and make the changes or the tester would not be happy with that?
If reversing when parking at the end of my test, am I allowed to move down mirrors for better parking? I was told by my instructor I am not allowed what made me totally surprised! Like mirrors and features are there to be used!
Hello Dane, what if our car has a rearview wide-angle camera, do we have to look back in a scenario like this? My car's rear camera has a lot better view than me turning my head due to the small rear window.
Hi Dane, I'm sitting my test soon, but every time I drive with my instructor in my practice tests I get really anxious and I feel like it's gonna affect my driving on test day, any advice on how to reduce the nerves when your sitting it? Thanks a mil 👍🏼
Hello Dane, have a quick question if you don't mind. I have rear view camera installed in my car which is not possible to turn off (or I don't know how to do so). Would that cause issues during my test?
Hi Dane you are such a great person for helping the learners to prepare for their driving test god bless you. I was supposed give the driveing test friday 11:55 unfortunately becous of the ice on the road the driving test was cancelled 😢 waiting so long its not good but at list i got the chance to find your video to improve more with my skills. Im on roads since 2011 but becous my country its not a Eu member i have to go thru the driving test. I wish u all the best thanks for your videos great job
With the engine light you can ignore it unless it's flashing at you or you feel vibration and or a severe lack of power from what I've heard But do you get the codes read just in case it's something important
Will it be an issue if ac indictor light (small light on button) is not working but AC works fine, during test What all documents I should carry other than license?
Hi Dane, thanks for your videos, I have 2 questions. 1 should we indicate when overtaking parked cars, if we have to move out of our lane to do so? 2. Should indicate when overtaking cyclists only when the opportunity presents itself, or should we be indicating the whole time that we are waiting behind them? Thank you
Indicate if crossing the centre white line or centre of the road. Just indicate a few seconds before you move out unless you are stopping and waiting to overtake.
@@DaneTygheletsdrive Thanks a million Dane, and what about when passing a row of parked cars which requires you to cross the white line? Do you hold the indication until you are back in your own lane?
Hi Dane, driving test coming up here in waterford next week. I have a question you might answer... My own car (petrol) which I'm used to driving, has got a ABS fault which needs fixing but couldnt get it done in time for my test, so have no choice but to do it in my instructors car (diesel). Im not so comfortable in it so its a shame - do you think theres any point mentioning this to the tester? Thanks 👍
Hi Dane, I have my test next week and looking for some guidance on observation moving off as I failed on this last time. Do we have to check blind spots when moving off in traffic lights or when we have stopped at a junction? Thank you

Hi Dane, Have an upcoming test and one aspect of the test that is causing me confusion is steering. Is it acceptable to let the steering wheel spin back into your hands, or more importantly, is it okay to let the steering wheel spin back into only one of your hands whilst you are changing gears etc etc. This is something I try to avoid doing at all costs but I am often left with no other option. I’m conscious of the tester thinking I am not in full control of the vehicle if I do this. Is it allowed on the test? Let me know what you think yourself.
If you are at test standard then you should have no problem with the steering wheel, you must not let the wheel spin through, feed it for more control.
Hi Dane, A quick question. I have my own car and recently I observed there was a wheel cap cover missing on one the tyres . Could they cancel the test for that reason?
Hi Dane, while practicing for my driving test in Drogheda I came across a busy junction where there is a zebra crossing on a two way street, then immediately after turning left there is another one. As I was edging forward to clear the first one the car in front stopped to let pedestrians cross the second one, leaving me stopped half way across the first one. Is this a fail? This is the route that I took on my first driving test and it just so happened that it wasn't busy that day but I failed anyway but for different reasons.
It will entirely depend on the situation, try to read the road ahead and try to prevent this happening. It will depend on how the tester views it but don't think of it as an automatic fail.
Hey Dane Tyghe I'm wondering if it matters for the test if your car has wind deflectors and tinted windows or is it best to remove them for the test? Thanks in advance. Great video as always!

There's no problem with the camera, just don't look in it all the time.
can I keep the phone holder on - during the test or should I remove it?
Why when you parking the car, before you leave you have to put on first gear?
So that if the handbrake were to fail the car wouldn't roll back or forward

Hey Dane, can we break the speed limit when overtaking cyclists?
If you need to break a 60 or 80km/ph speed limit to overtake them cyclists, they must be lightning fast ! 😂

I’ve found paying attention to the rpm helpful for knowing when to change gears. Is this ok?
No, better to focus on the speed you're going.
Hi Dane,
A quick question. I have my own car and recently I observed there was a wheel cap cover missing on one the tyres . Could they cancel the test for that reason?
I think that would be fine, as long as the wheels are safely attached to the car that's the most important thing.
