- Want to pass your driving test? Well I have some tips & advice for you on how to pass your driving test in Ireland! I tell you things that I wish I knew before my driving test and just give some general advice as to what I think may help you in passing your driving test. How did you get on??
Me mate failed his theory because he got a few tractor questions. PREPARE FOR THE TRACTOR QUESTIONS!
Its took me 3 years to eventually passed my test on Friday first time. I feel relax and a big pressure left off me.
thanks for the tips. Just failed my test last week and i have booked another test but i am on the waiting list. I have been driving on and off for 5 years now, was always so scared to drive. Now I feel confident and ready. I failed my test in the last few minutes when I made a mistake following the road and then got so nervous and made a series of mistakes.

Just do it to the best of your ability I'm a skilled driver I failed twice now I've been driving for a year now and I still failed twice not even gonna give it much though

@@NiamhCogan I went in a bit too confident. I got a grade 3 for not realising my speed in built up area... the tester said my test actually did go well, my maneuver, positioning, progress and observation where all good... at the end she said there really wasn't much to brush up on or change but I needed to be more aware of my speed 🙃 I don't live near any built up areas etc and It was never a problem during the lessons either so my instructor was shocked but I've the next one booked so hopefully in 6 weeks I'll get it the second go.

@@VanessaKM yes I failed my test on 9th and passed on 15th of March.
i got my permit in december of 2021 and i didnt really start driving until feburaury 2022, after that i took a long break because i couldnt drive at traffic lights. but now i can drive on 5th gear and ive been on the motorway. I start my lessons on the 1st of June so im hoping to pass maybe a couple of months after i turn 18

It's very fast for me... It's only for Irish people. I'm trying to say about your English. But I don't give up! I'll watch all your videos. Do some podcast please about your car. About your dashboard and all parts of car what we need to know for test. Thanks and keep going!

When I failed my first test, I got so mad I stuck the fail sheet to my bedroom wall so everyday I remind myself to never let that happen again
Passed car & motorbike test first time. I did pre tests on both. Oh & know the rules of the road & roadsigns etc.
What about the 'failing system'? We see ppl failing because did something and then failing because didn't do the exactly same thing?
For example..my wife failed because she overtake a bus (stopped at a bus stop) in a 2 lane road. She pass on the right lane, same way.
Other thing was that she 'looked too much to the mirrors while driving'.
She has a full license from other country for 20 years.
the way the test is graded is completely backwards, half of doing the test is just learning how they want you to drive rather than how you will actually drive once you pass
I did a lesson and dropped my licence on floor- it was between his legs- wearing shorts lol I was puce!

Would you have any tips for driving around Skibbereen and also what theory questions was you asked.
U cannot fail if u hit the kerb it depends if u mount the kerb u will fail.
Failed my first time. Got like 17 faults haha. I tend to turn too wide on sharp corners and my coasting is bad too. I’ve been driving for a year on the provisional anyway, waited 8 months for a test so picked up bad habits, it’s a joke.
just to let ye know if ya fail the theory questions its only one mark u loose therefore u wont fail the test

Yeah but like, do you have to read that whole book?. I've done all my lessons, i'll have my test in 3 weeks, I've been out loads in my dads car, wrote down a bunch of road signs and learning some rules. I'll bet most drivers wouldn't know the rules of the road off by heart, y'know?
Pretty sure you cannot fail on the theory, you get a grade 2 mark maximum. An unnecessary grade 2, obviously.

The theory and practical driving tests are separate rather than on the same day in Britain, interesting to know they’re on the same day in Ireland. Which system does Northern Ireland use?
They are separate tests in Ireland too. There are just a few questions at the start of the driving test on road signs etc
@@bobbob9211 I see. They ask you a ‘show me tell me’ question about your car at the start instead here.

No you don’t! I think you can renew your license a second time no problem, but after that you need proof that you have applied for a driving test 😊
