Hi Dane, Passed my test today, 4th try but first since 2018. Your videos are an incredible resource for any learner driver and you should be canonized for making them free! Sent a token of my appreciation through Revolut 👏🏻
I appreciate that you're demonstrating these things on the test routes in Wexford. It's real helpful for us to become that bit more familiar with the routes
Hi Dane, thank you for putting up such informative content and helping people pass. Needless to say I am one of them and I passed my exam in first attempt at Killester today and your videos primarily with mirror checks and observations are amazing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. 😊 I pray your channel keeps growing. 🎉
Honestly Dane, thank you sooo much for all of your in depth videos was binge watching them for a good few days before my test and passed my test first time with flying colours!!! God bless you!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Hi Dane, just passed my test today first time! Wanna thank you for all your videos you post up on RUclips, binged watched them the last few weeks and they really helped me alot. 🙌🏾👏🏾
Hi Dane, passed on my second attempt in gorey today. Only 2 grade 2s as opposed to my 14 grade 2s in my first attempt. The main difference was that I found you after my first fail. Really appreciate all the content it truly did help 🙏 hope you can monetize the F out of your social media platforms so that you can continue to help learners. Hi dane watching your videos before my driving test next week can you go over any differences between Automatic test and Manual tests. Do i need to pull the handbrake at the same time when doing a turnabout? do i pull it at traffic lights? Im doing the test in an automatic and would love some specific videos if possible
I do sometimes turn before I make a Turnabout. And I know I shouldn't since it's not right. And I'll remember what the name HOG means? Hill, Observation and Gear. To help me when turning on a hill.
Hello Dane, I'm starting my classes now, and I found your videos... I've a drive in my country, but we drive in the left hand, I found some differences when I compare when I learned .. for example, in this turnabout and also when stopping at signals, why it is used the handbrake, when there is no really need to it? I mean, do I lose marks? , I never needed to use handbrake while I was doing a turnabout for eg. All controlled in the clich, break.. In the case of the stopping at light signals, if I use handbrake us to rest my feet, I don't leave in first gear (cause that way I will need to keep pressing the clutch) , so if I don't do it , do I lose marks? Thanks for your videos😊
Same thing! For me it's hard to use the hand brake, when back in my country I always equilibrate the clutches... That is the reason I'll go for automatic here
Is it ok to lock in the steering to start the right turn before moving off. I have had conflicting advice on this. Others say you need to do it while moving. Is locking in ok for the test.
Hello Dane, just wanted to ask If you have any tips when changing down gears. I seem to struggle with it and get a bit confused. I can’t seem to find any videos of it. Thank you
I have hundreds of hours of videos on gears so it's slightly strange that you can't find any, are you searching properly? ruclips.net/p/PLheoz7pGa31icX85RGjMWLCm_TaOjMbV7
Hi Dane, I had a kind of mock test last week and she said i was dry steering too much. I didn’t even know that was a thing but also from watching that video you did steer a bit before releasing clutch fully and pressing gas. I’m completely over thinking everything
Hi Dane. I failed last week because I was approaching a t junction from a minor road. There was a yellow box in the whole junction and a traffic light infront of me. I was supposed to turn right in the junction but I got confused when the light turned green and Ijust rolled to the middle of the junction and yielded to a car coming from my left in the major road, Could you please refer to which of your videos explains this junction. One more serious mark is the position in the roundabout, the tester told me to take the second exit, I took the left lane in the roundabout then discovered that the left lane was only for traffic exiting the first exit, I wasn't able to see road marking on the roundabout because of the crowd. Could you please advise when to use the right lane to take the 2nd exit in roundabouts? Thanks a lot
You use the right lane on the roundabout if the road markings instruct you to. This should help you with the traffic lights ruclips.net/video/IRCbYdC1R0Q/видео.html It sounds like you need more work because you clearly have some misunderstandings
Thank you so much Dane! Didn't expect you'd reply to my email. Your email was well explained and in detail. I took your advice and practiced them on the road and took my test on Tuesday and passed it! Many thanks to you. Keep up the great work ❤
Dane, my test is next week and I have a question: For the U turn or turnabout, do we need to steer the wheel to "neutral" position or the position you need to go when doing the next maneuvering before finishing the maneuvering or can we do it on the way out? My instructor told me to steer the wheel in the end of each maneuvering.
Dane, would you recon(think) for people like us who fail their test(expecting soon get invitation for my 3rd attempt) , the examiners has their "history" with marks of people who failed, in their books or so, so they can be focused on our previous mistakes we did on next driving test? Hope you understood what I ment😂. Example: As i mention you before in email, i got many marks on coasting & early changing gears, and that's reason i failed last time, so would he/she look at more on my foot when changing gears and etc to see if i did improve ? EDIT: Yes i did improve and i do not coasting anymore😎
I just took second test today and passed in gorey. I said "hello again" to the tester and she said she couldn't remember me. Don't know if she was just saying that or not but it made me feel less anxious 🙃 no harm in reminding the tester your doing it again I suppose?

If it's a turnabout in an automatic would the hand brake still be relevant? And if so, do we change gears before or after?
Hi Dane. Do indicators need to be used at all 3 points of the turnabout? Thanks
No. Just at the start.

Hi Dane is HOG applicable to automatic car as well? Or foot brake enough no more using the hand brake?
Bog instead of Hog, you don't really need the handbrake in the automatic but might be no harm on the hill
Do you get marked down for “dry steering” or is it ok to a point?
Usually you won't get marked, it's not a big deal

It is mostly optional to use the handbrake but once you maintain good control of the car you'll be fine
Always depends on the situation, there's no simple one size fits all answer.
Can you lock the wheel before moving on ?
Can you use the clutch and break instead of the handbrake ?
Hi Dane is it ok to do the turnabout in 4 or 5 gos/turns or is better in 3
