- In this video I am going to share with you 10 things you can’t do if you want to pass your test - these tips are based on the mistakes of some of my own recent learner drivers and I’m letting you know about this so you don’t make the same mistakes that they did.

I got grade 2 in Foot break it repeatedly occurs, could tell me a solution for this am using Automatic car ????

Passed my driving test today for the first time one go at Raheny ISM-category B, manual.Your videos were extremely helpful to prepare for my driving test specially as I do not have my own car and had to solely depend on my instructor’s car for practice.Thank you so much Dane Tyghe for making my life so much easier.My driving instructor is also an extremely good teacher. But had there been no Dane I wouldn’t have been practicing driving in my head so much. I remember years ago doing my car test, it helped me to drive more smoothly to picture someone holding a glass of water in the car ( without spilling it ) less aggressive breaking etc.

Hi Dane, these videos are so helpful thank you so so much! Preparing for my 4th (!!) driving test in Dublin and had a question on traffic lights. Scenario is am turning left out of a minor road (housing estate) onto a main road, and very shortly after the left turn there is a traffic light. If the light is red is it red for everyone or just the people on the main road (if making the turn you would have to pass or stop unless there is traffic built up at the lights)? Thank you so much, really appreciate your help here as can't seem to get a straight answer on this!!
Just passed my test today morning, this being the last video I watched before setting off to the centre. Thank you for all your tips! 4 of my faults were lack of progress but maybe I'll get out of my terrified phase soon.
You do, u just need to speed up quickly a few times and it just forces u to get used to it

I just had my drivers license .last week Wednesday on a first attempt, thanks to you. I encourage everyone to watch your videos. I was now so addicted to your videos and it paid diligently

Just found your channel and it's great! I have my driving test in a month and your advice is really helping me :) Just wondering, do I need to inform the test centre I'm doing my test in automatic?
No they'll only need to know that once they get to the car. They might ask you about it beforehand the test begins.
Just wanted to say that thanks to your videos, I passed my driving test on my first attempt, three weeks ago in Drogheda. Binged watched your clips and advice the night previous, was an absolute necessity. A pity that the test centre is now closed in Drogheda, literally thousands of learner drivers left to carry out their test in unfamiliar towns.

People driving around bends with their wheels well over white lines on bends is very common where I drive in County Wexford.
And not just in Wexford homie
Can I ask, when you’re coming off in the 3rd exit of a roundabout and it’s a 2-lane road, do you continue to come off in the right lane or merge onto the left right away ?

Same as manual handbrake
*Reverse around a corner, or three-point turn is no longer part of the driving test in the UK - and hopefully Ireland too would scrap it.*

Hi! If the filter lane is full, do you wait on left hand side? Even if it it means blocking cars behind you from going forward. I imagine you don’t drive into the road markings.
You do, don't stick out and block traffic, be practical
I asked my instructor on my test before we got in the car to give me hand signals for left and right as he said them, as I get mixed up and he said "No not today" Very strict in Wilton. Please do some routes down here.

Are they going to let the learner drivers who have completed 12 lessons and waiting for their test ..drive on their own … I heard it mentioned on the radio … as there is such a long wait for driving tests … Have you heard anything.. Great video 👍🏻🎉
That is simply NOT going to happen and that's an absolute cast iron guarantee, this ridiculous idea is just some mad proposal from some of the populist rural Tds looking for attention. We are not going back to the 1980s just as we are seeing a change in culture.

I could sound stupid asking this but When you say to look behind on the reverse around the corner do you mean to turn your head and look out the back window (the boot window) or look in the rear view mirror
Look out over both shoulders and the 3 mirrors
@@DaneTygheletsdrive yeh no I get ya the only reason I asked is my instructor told me to turn and look between the two front seat out the boot window when I'm doing the reverse around the corner I have my test in two week and my first instructor not my current one told me to just use mirrors and blindspot checks not boot window look so im kinda mixed up doctors differ and patients die vibes it just didn't seem right but fair enough
@@jackmurphy1691 I was told you need to be looking in the direction you're moving, I.e. out the back window. I kept my head turned around looking out the back window and every few seconds checking mirrors and the blind spot over my right shoulder, then back to looking out the rear window. I did my test on the 9th in Carlow and it was grand for the tester there.
Blindspots are over the shoulders, so yes you should be looking in the mirrors and over both shoulders for a better view. Sounds like they are both saying the exact same thing.
If I'm just starting out with someone I'd get them to check mirrors and then gradually start checking over the shoulders as they improve and get more comfortable with the manoeuvre

Hi, what would you do on test if another driver doesn’t let you change lane and you miss the turn?
Indicate early and that should not happen, slow down and stop if necessary. And hope for the best.
I have my 3rd test coming up, it just seems like every time I have a test I receive horrible news (1st test my husband was diagnosed with cancer with surgery to remove it, second test he had to start chemo because they found new cancer cells, and now 3rd test 3years later they last month found it has spread and it's now stage 4 terminal) now I'm really above stressed because if I don't pass it, how the hell do I drive to and from hospital appointments he is far too weak to drive, and i can see how much pain hes in😭😭😭,and I have to take kids to and from school and activities 😢.
I'm sht!ting myself because I know I'm not gonna pass because I just can't for the life of me reverse around a corner 😬
I can try the corner reverse 10 times but only manage to get it somewhat right once, even with a driving instructor 😭 I'm so screwed

It's usually better to give quick glances in the mirrors so you don't take your eyes off the road too long.

I wouldn't have any experience with buses but I certainly think the planning ahead and reading the road ahead are the same, check out my commentary drive videos.
I failed recently in Finglas and frankly I found the feedback from the tester to be extremely vague. I could not understand why I was marked down on a number of items and even received a grade 3, something I did not receive with any driving instructor I had previous to the test.
I know some of the testers are terrible for feedback but doing a driving test is a lot different to the regular lessons.

Can I ask if you would use your hand break if you were at lights on a hill if your in an automatic ? I don’t need to cause it won’t roll back but I don’t know if I should for the test ?
Yes you should because automatic cars do roll back and it's a good habit to get into
Just passed my test with 2 minor faults and 1 grade 2 …. The grade 2 was because I left my windshield wipers on for wayyyyy too long 💀😂
