After my factory warranty is out I'll hopefully boost mine.
Already talked to Hennessy and they're planning on some cool stuff. I'm planning on a full ppf right away.
Can't wait to see yours !!

At this rate, it'll be 5 years before he takes delivery. I'm offering 50/50 odds that GM will refund deposits.

My Italian grandmother wrapped her couches and chairs in plastic to protect the fabric. Works great, I can understand why you would want to use the same strategy for the new 2020 corvette.

My Brother is picking up his C8 at the Museum... and that will give him very close to the 500 mile 'break-in' mileage.
And I am pretty sure that gearing in the DCT will keep the engine under 4000 rpm at 70 mph or so, even with the Z51 differential ratio...

Totally agree with you on everything especially the break in

Go with the PPF. Show off the color you ordered and protect it. I'm looking forward to seeing your final car when it's delivered.

Geez me and you are on the same page . I agree with protecting the paint , definitely don’t like the factory wheels , , Im getting the Chevy carbon fiber exterior parts , Im also upgrading my exhaust, Lowering my car 3/4” to an inch is probably my first upgrade though , then different wheels & Im not driving my car in winter

I personally don’t understand the carbon fiber thing at all. I wouldn’t pay 10 cents extra for it. I detest it on your R8 side panel. I much prefer that car with that panel painted body color. Each to his own I guess.

Carbon fiber is a composite material, not a weave pattern. Folks put plastic weave pattern covers on the stupidest things. Parts of the C8 are already carbon fiber, gel coated and painted. The whole carbon fiber craze is stupid.

The "downside" to vinyl wrap is that it changes the color? Did you really just say that ? the whole point is to protect the paint AND change the color to something new.... and if youre in LOVE with the original paint job, you could have easily wrapped your car in a color similar to the OEM paint... gloss black vinyl is about as common as dirt....The only downsides the vinyl are cost, and application if you are doing it yourself. The wrap you have on now is, by the way, pretty damn sick.

    My options...
PPF, Hell yes. Colored vinyl wraps look cheap. All of my carbon fiber accents will be on the inside of the car and engine bay. Loud pipes are for attention whores. Proper break-in... Duh! :)
