Great tips! I was thinking how to quickly remember this when I get dressed the morning and I came up with this acronym. SALT. Statement piece, Acessories, Layers, Texture. As an inflation impacted Single momma with kids heading to college I can’t stress enough that these tips even work when you’re on a “thrifting” budget. I just grabbed some great leather shoes with gold chain detail, chunky gold tone earrings, scarves and oversized blazers and sweaters with my teen last night and was so happy to see this video today realizing these “tools” work for all budgets! I love stacking necklaces, but hate it when they mate. I found a clasp on Amazon where I can attach up to 3 necklaces to a single closure. It keep the chains from knotting up and makes it easy on - easy off, at the end of the day.

I too, but a lot of clothing and shoes, with no idea where I would wear them. But I keep buying. I live in the country and there isn’t really anyplace to go here. There’s a resort restaurant we go to. But that’s about it. It’s a pretty casual place. But I have seen people dressed up. The only other place is the grocery. I loved the necklaces with the crew neck sweater. I look better with a v neck. But I own some crew necks, and I now know how to wear them. I own a lot of jewelry. I loved what you had on, but it’s out of my price range. It’s beautiful though.

My favorite style tweak is to use an item in another way. I stumbled on this when I lost the belt to my black trench coat. I had a black velvet scarf with a little black beading on the end and it looked fabulous as a belt. So fabulous that I decided to wear just the trench with belt as my top for going out.
I add jewelry all the time and they really do add a little pizazz to my outfit! Every piece of jewelry has a story or meaning behind it and I will wear my pieces to keep that person or story with me all the time

Can you do a video about blouses for petite busty women? I look huge (which makes me look shorter too) in loose fitted blouses, because of how much my breast’s pull the fabric away from my body. Those Balmain boots!!! 😍 😛💦 I treated myself to Valentino Rockstud pumps, a Bulgari bag, a Gucci bag and a Gucci belt. So my budget cannot possibly handle these gorgeous boots, but if I could 😍 Also Jimmy Choo had these striped see-through ankle boots to die for.

I just went to the mall and bought modern accessories belt hat and some new chunkier gold jewelry. I have a classic capsule wardrobe and I need to update my accessories to look modern.
I find outfits on Pinterest and then I put them under re-create. Then if I don’t know what to wear I go to that and I pull out of my closet something very similar to the outfit I liked and make my own.

I am a firm believer that when you reach your 40’s and for sure your 50’s and older, putting on makeup, doing your hair (even if it’s a ponytail or loose bun), is imperative to looking put together. Even if you are head to toe Chanel, if you don’t have some makeup on or your hair looks disheveled, you won’t look put together. Effortless style just like “natural looking makeup” actually requires effort. It takes two hours to get the natural look! Hahaha

I find outfits on Pinterest and then I put them under re-create. Then if I don’t know what to wear I go to that and I pull out of my closet something very similar to the outfit I liked and make my own.

Hi Erin. I just found your channel. If you do a Winter Style video, could you give 1 or 2 tips for those of us that live in very cold climates? I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada where our Winter temperatures go down to - 40 to -50. (I'm absolutely serious). It's difficult to find anything warm and stylish enough in November - March. I am a firm believer that when you reach your 40’s and for sure your 50’s and older, putting on makeup, doing your hair (even if it’s a ponytail or loose bun), is imperative to looking put together. Even if you are head to toe Chanel, if you don’t have some makeup on or your hair looks disheveled, you won’t look put together. Effortless style just like “natural looking makeup” actually requires effort. It takes two hours to get the natural look! Hahaha
That effortless look is often anything but effortless!
