NEW A380 - Is It Actually Realistic?

Emirates called for a new A380 some time ago, but other than that, it would appear the market for such a plane is seemingly non-existent, so is a new version realistic or the furthest thing?

It is possible IF some major airport cannot take any more airplane at a given time. And number of people travel soars so high that seat need to be booked in 2-3 weeks advance

I’d guess at speed and efficiency. If progress continues with Boom, why would you need capacity when you can increase frequency?

I think there is still interest in a new A380-800 model, this time with much more efficient engines like a derivative of the Rolls-Royce _UltraFan_ or a GE9X derivative.
But why? Landing slot constraints. Many of the world's current airports can't be expanded much further, and the demands for CO2 emission reduction means fewer flights, not more flights.

Weird, both Boeing and Airbus only produce three core aircraft types. I only see Boeing moving off the 737 anytime soon. Gone are the days of variety
