Love the sentiment but...The strong side linebacker is known as the "Sam" line backer, the left side (typically the weak side) has the "Leo" Defensive end backed by the "Will" line backer. Their characters played the "Sam" and "Leo" positions. Not completely made up, but that doesn't mean they didn't improve on the dialogue. :)

@@gregoryjohanek5832 this is incorrect. Sam linebacker just means the linebacker that lines up on the TE side. Back in the day, the right side of the offense was more likely to be the TE side for right handed QBs. So the Sam would be lined up on the offenses right, the defenses left. Really doesn’t happen like that now as it’s more of which hash the ball is spotted on.
Played SEC football as a defensive lineman, so I’m well versed in defensive schemes.

If you ever get into the great many team-based video games, I’ve found they provide a similar feeling. Pursuing an objective through coordinated action, recognizing and putting into use the individual strengths of yourself and your teammates, communicating valuable tactical information to one another in order to adapt to unforeseen circumstances, celebrating a victory together… It can bring a special kind of joy that any non-team-based game of any kind could never replicate.

greatest movie ever made, dont mess with me on this one . if America was a movie, this is the one it should be. (one of my best friends played for EC Glass that season (a newly integrated high school in Lynchburg Va.)) he coached high school football for 29 years at Nelson County High School (our arch rival i played at Amherst High School) Glass and TC Williams were the cream of the crop but glass got beat in the regional's on a sloppy field opening the door for Williams to make a run for the state
. made for a great movie though the team they beat in the movie was the team they beat in the semi's not the finals (which they won in a blowout) either way, the movie is amazingly good, and i wouldn't want to tale away from it. im going to finish by lauding my team mates in the class of 85 we shut out GW Danville for the first time EVER on their home field on the homecoming game. 14-0 was sweet revenge as our seniors (me included) lost an undefeated season to GW when they came to our house and beat us 16-6 to give us OUR only loss (i set an ACHS record in that game with a 72 yard punt.). we were a lot like the Titans, though race wasn't that big a deal, two schools merging to make one great team we were good, GW that day was better, but we went out on top in the end in 85.we're all in our 50's now, i still see several of my teammates around our small town in southwest Va. we are still brothers, black, white, Monacan Indian, brothers we are, brothers we will always be.. and if anyone thinks thats a bad thing? piss off. remember the Lancers! accept the love that our kids build in school sports.

During the too strong side, you can see Ray in the front looks confused and disgusted. He's the only one not going along with the "ah ah ah ah" chant. Awesome little detail.

Ray is so subtle with his racism. He’s obviously less turnt in the final huddle. He only screams when Gary screams. Good attention to character detail

"Attitude reflect leadership " should be posted on BOLD print in every managers office. Corporate America sux due to lack of leadership and corporate loyalty. They dont care about the individual worker, just their jobs and their $$$.
