Such a powerful moment for Yoast. He was faced with such a conflicting struggle. He wanted the Hall of Fame more than anything & he cared about the team. But he wanted it fair & square. Blew up a gunner's nest through a wall after my Squad Leader told me to "Blitz their ass!"
I love this movie
Greatest defensive coordinator of all time...
Spihk Heartbust!? Analyze & Discuss why Falcon Server Eric crushed Bozeman Hotmail Recipient's foot on Purpose during a Falcon Server football practice!
He sacrificed getting the hall of fame for coach Boone, a man of a different color. That was huge considering those times. That tells so much about the character of that man.
This is just an all around inspirational movie. And the fact that it’s a true story makes it all that much more special.
I appreciate what Coach Yoast did here. He put integrity over the Hall of Fame. True respect for him.
Such a powerful moment for Yoast. He was faced with such a conflicting struggle. He wanted the Hall of Fame more than anything & he cared about the team. But he wanted it fair & square. Not like this. And he knew how wrong it was to loose your chances as a coach because of a fixed game. Imagine the humiliation & danger he saved Herman from. It was more than just saving Herman as well. It was saving the boys from the massive media circus that would have came, the harassment from the town, & the schools reputation. Imagine if word had gotten out that Alexandria was involved in a fixed game. So much was on the line & this moment changed the movie
A almost perfect movie , no black no white just TEAM
Brains before BS Minus the frivolous and unclassy finger point, you are right.
Respect
I will never know the answer, but what would have made this great movie perfect in your eyes??
It’s just like what sunshine‘s dad said, if they can fight a war together, they can sure as heck play football together.
“Run it up Herman. Leave no doubt.” That’s cold as ice.
been watching this movie for 20 years still gives me goosebumps EVERYTIME
This moment in the movie was always so powerful. This was one of those times when you recognize how Will Patons character was overcoming his internal moral struggles and that he truly stood behind and with his new head coach.
This is one of the best monologues in the history of cinema.
This will forever be my favorite movie
I don't want them to gain another yard. You blitz all night.

Imagine being in a football game and they put that speech so everyone in the stadium can hear it .Just thinking about it gives you Goosebumps .
The energy of this movie is incredible, snd those comments are hair tingling with inspiration and motivation. I’ve loved it since the 1st time around.
One of the greatest lines in movie history! Will Patton nailed that line down to a T! I was most definitely inspired by that line ever since he said it! This is one of my favorite all time films and most definitely in my top 2 of all time sports movies!
Love how he points at the coach and then its a montage of the titans destroying them
This is the turning point of when Yoast finally understood Herman.
Now that's how you tackle racism!!! - head on and literally. 😁
only way to combat it is straight up in the face of the person
You got that right damn it.
😁👈👍
It was just a movie. In real life, both teams were integrated. It was a good scene though.
@@teej783 in the 70's? You dream cowboy
How can you not get chills when he say “ok”
Chills every time i watch this. One of the greatest movies i have ever seen.
YOU BLITZ ALL NIGHT!!!!!
I love the moment he decides: "This isn't HIS perfect season getting sabotaged. IT'S MINE, TOO DAMMIT!"
typical white man trying to take the black mans credit....
Umm...well he IS the Defensive Coordinator. He helps get them wins too.
Typical black man blaming the white man....it can go both ways
Matthew Tedeschi so who was going to get fired if they lost? The black man. Who was going to get promoted if the black man lost? The white guy.....so it can’t go both ways. You are part of the problem Matthew. You approve of this type of discrimination
“You don’t agree with me so you’re racist!”
Oy just stop.
This will always top any other football movie there ever was.
No way, it is good but not the best, Friday Night Lights was better
Not friday night lights the real movie!
There are so many iconic quotes in this movie💥
One of THE best football movies EVER!
If Denzel calls you a cheater, you're a cheater. This WHOLE movie is a lifestyle that I wish we could adapt throughout humanity. I love you all and remember the only thing that can defeat hate is love
This was one of Will Patton's best performances.
CSX Florida Funnel Railfan that salesman’s on tv
CSX Florida Funnel Railfan I particularly liked him in Falling Skies
Thought he was good in Armageddon
Too bad petey didn't think so and just walked off
thejanusproject32 he decided to be a surgeon instead of playing football
"And if they cross the line of scrimmage imma take every last one of you out!"
He doesnt mean out of the game. He means OUT...
Always gives me the chills!!!!
One of the most emotionally moving scenes in the history of sports cinema
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. My middle school football coach put this on in class atleast 5 times a year lol
