Check out one of the most curious vehicles in our collection in Episode 21, the 1938 Elto Midget Racer, Southwest Chrome Special. #35 actually raced in Fairbanks, still runs (fast), and is powered by a water-cooled, four-cylinder, two-stroke horizontally opposed Elto outboard engine.
Elto, an outboard engine manufacturer, sold more Model 4-60 engines to Midget car racers than to boat racers, yet fewer than 12 Elto Midgets are known to exist!
