I 100% agree- like I can accept a certain amount but when you try to have stakes while simultaneously eliminating those stakes it all just feels pointless

In the director’s commentary he states that he was a fan of the series but felt that the last couple of movies were lacking the magic that 5-7 had. He also said that the last movie’s soundtrack was a step down and put extra effort in having a memorable soundtrack.
You watched it with the director's commentary? I hate that I watched it once.
I watch the commentaries of pretty much every blockbuster I buy that includes one.

Plus you never know what behind the scenes info they will reveal. For example, Jonathon Hensleigh spends a large amount of The Punisher(2004) commentary talking about how the producers,Marvel and Lionsgate kept slashing the budget, altering his vision for the movie. Joe Carnahan gets angry about the negative reviews for The A-Team(2009).

The guy who played the Agent was non other than the legend Alan Ritchson aka Thad Castle from Blue Mountain State. He is doing a Reacher series right now that is very good. I’ve found it pretty hilarious watching him go from comedy to being in action like this but I highly recommend both of those shows for you to watch on or off the channel lol

Liked how they had both Aquaman actors. Jason and Alan Ritchson (Smallville 😉) who is currently on the show Reacher (I recommend that show).

If there ever was a movie franchise where you HAVE to park your brain at the door so to speak, this has to be it. When Han came back, I was convinced he was part Cyborg like Idris Elba's villain from Hobbs & Shaw.
The reaction to Gal Gadot coming back was how everyone felt, I’ve loved seeing you guys make the jokes about it over the last few movies just waiting for that moment.
Gal Gadot coming back was the “final straw” for me. Lol. This is the 3rd time that this series has brought a character back from the dead. It’s like they’re too scared to keep a character dead permanently
If Shaw could survive falling off the plane, then so could Giselle. 😂

Jason legit had me lmao this whole movie. Also i luv these movies to death and even i was like wtf just happen on the bridge scene and i did not bat an eye at them going into space on the other one lol.
I actually found the house they use in the movie on Google maps but its blurred out likely for privacy reasons, it's in LA not far from the store the torettos ran in the first movie

To be Fair, Shaw's Brother who was the main villain of 6 survived from falling off a runaway plane. Kinda makes sense Gal would too, though I expected some scars & bruising much similarly to Shaws brother when he resurfaced in 8.

I have never laughed harder than Holden's reaction to Gal Gadot. The ridiculous reveals are part of the fun, My Advice for Holden is to lean into it. Hobbs and Shaw is an awesome movie on its own and one of my top 3.
This one was one of the more fun in the franchise since Fast Five, for me, almost entirely because of Momoa and Cena. Momoa was just clearly chewing every bit of scenery he could, and they completely changed Cena's character and let him be, well... Cena. And that's the best thing they could have done.
They have Wonder Woman, captain marvel, peacemaker, black Adam and two aqua mens (Alan ritchson was aqua man in smallville tv show) in this movie.😂… also Jason mamma was great in this film, I really hope he plays Lobo in the dc movies going forward, he’s absolute perfect for that role

Paul Walker is the legend and the GOAT of this Fast series. IDK when they started the whole bringing people back from death, I think it's kuz of Paul Walker. They didn't wanna kill off his character and I think they decided that no one dies or do but come back in a later movie.

The flight attendant is Paul Walker's daughter. Also, both villains played 2 different versions of Aquaman. Lots of Marvel/DC actors in this film, including the final cameo.
Groot, Aquaman, Hawk (previously Aquaman), Cpt Marvel, Cleo, Ratcatcher, Peacemaker, Yondu, Black Adam, the wolf woman Thor fucked, Blackguard, and Wonder Woman.
18:54 I was Googling the cast of Fast X for the list and saw Debby Ryan. Apparently that was her.
Alan Ritchson, who plays Aimes, is the lead on the Amazon Prime show REACHER. Highly recommend watching that show. Don't know if ya'll read but it is a very accurate portrayal of the Jack Reacher series. More so than the Tom Cruise movies.

The series has now brought 3 characters back from the dead. It worked with Letty because the explanation they gave for how she was still alive made sense and was pulled off in a way that made audiences buy it. But Han and Giselle coming back didn’t work because of how forced their returns felt. You could tell that them coming back was not originally the plan and that their deaths were supposed to be permanent
I recommend watching Superfast, the spoof movie that parodies the first 5 movies. I'm convinced the producers took notes on it for these last 3 fast and furious movies.
Aquaman from snyderverse and Aquaman from smallville are the villans and its amazing 😂 😂
Considering what they can do with A.I. these days, it won't surprise me if they get Bryan to cameo in the next part of this movie. Although, they COULD also get Paul Walker's brother to fill in again as a double.

2:06 yeah i was hit by a car as well. I nearly was killed by it and couldnt walk for around 6 months. That's one thing i always hated was people just rolling off of cars in movies

Alan Ritchson is great in Reacher. You should take a look at that. Just the first season is out.

I think that Jason Momoa's character is one of those wacked out mental bad guys type which is the type one should truly fear...oh and it's not two face/the riddler...he's 100% more like "the killing joke Joker" especially with the taping the eyes open to the not alive guys and having conversations with them 😂

You guys should check out Hobbs & Shaw now before Fast X Part 2 comes out because it came out before X & they probably will reference some things in H&S in the next Fast movie.

I bet Jason Momoa loved this role. After seeing the end of this movie I’ll believe Jacob is dead when they don’t show him in any future movies they make. This is one of the craziest movies. Can’t believe the sequel is two years away and they’re talking about making into three movies. 35:22 I think that agent was supposed to show that not everyone in the government is happy with how Dom and his group has their freedom.

We watched fast x and MI7 directly after each other...both have action car scenes in Rome...same streets. One is good and one is really bad. You can probably guess which one is fast X^^

I saw the last IMAX show on Memorial Day 2023 and I'm pretty sure what to say myself about everything this installment has given to the masses.
Louis Leterrier (2 of The Transporter films, The Incredible Hulk 2008 reboot, Clash of The Titans 2010 reboot and Unleashed) did make something superb.
This was a major journey with Dom's Crew, newcomers and old faces.
Jason Momoa as Reyes' offspring plus villainy with mood swings took such a leap off the deep end and i liked it.
Action, stuntwork, drama, suspense, humor, just goes harder everytime.
The secrets and surprises of FX1 had me losing my mind.
Especially the major 2 unexpected returns to the saga.
Fast X part 2 is in another couple years plus some more planned goodness.
It's not really the last ride like they said and I'm cool with that.
Dom flipping Isabel's car over to knock the bomb off was also done in "Transporter 2."

Holden and Jen, after only just getting into these a month ago, you guys are officially beyond me now in the series. I stopped watching them in theaters when the F9 trailers came out. Still havent gotten around to this one but from what I hear its a bit toned down from the last, so im optimistic

Dante's eccentricities stem from the accident he suffered at the end of Fast Five, it's either mentioned somewhere in the movie itself or in a deleted scene.

Jason actually improvised a lot of his lines and he was so good they just rolled with it and I think it made the movie, the whole scene of him and dom fighting on the bridge and throwing the tooth back at dom he just made up in the spot😂 he said in a interview he’s been playing the “good guy” for so long he was just excited to be a psychotic villain and had fun with it
There were the rumors well stories out there that Vin was upset at his acting because he felt it was over the top and attracting all the attention. I read that before I watched it and immediately could see why Vin would possibly feel that way I didn't care for it at all he was trying to hard imo.
