Hello Tim, I'm sure that whatever I'm going to comment here has been said to you by people - "You are a savior for all of us who are trying to get better at this job". Most of the times we don't realize how our actions can impact the lives of so many people we have never met. I feel, that your decision in past to become corporate a guy that can make presentations "prettier" is impacting our lives in great magnitude. Thanks again for everything.
I am honestly grateful for your willingness to show you earliest efforts. I am not always willing to reveal my most cringeworthy content, probably because I have churned out so very MUCH substandard schlock. Still learning, perennial newbie. Thank you for sharing this, and WOW what a difference being in the right job makes (mall cop...just doesn't appear to sync with who you are now). YES... bad design is very easy to achieve...overachiever here.
Thanks for sharing, Julia! I think it's SO important for folks to show where they came from...far too many people pretend they were great from day one...and that's SO not the case.
I'm loving this video. I just got to the part where you joked about a restraining order on Bob and am cracking up! Also, I loved the beginning when you were showing the example of the screen beans and beveling. LOL. I remember those days. LOL.
Thanks. very motivational video, especially about creating from scratch which is really difficult, i tried to do this to show that it is my work, but downloading content sounds much better, easier and faster.
Thanks so much, Tim, for this fantastic, educational video! This is so helpful by offering lots of very well presented and structured information. I sat through all of it from start to finish, taking notes! (a budding instructional designer here) This has laid some good foundations for me. Thanks for the book suggestions too, I'll have a look for them. 😊
8:19 - "You change the color to red because you want to 'jazz it up'" LOL... 🤣 By far something we all have done! Just add features because you can! I feel the same way about animations. They can contribute to really effective instruction, but the most common use I've seen is as a distraction. Overall an awesome presentation Tim! You organized the information in a fantastic way and presented beautifully! I'm impressed and motivated :)
Great session Tim. I missed the live session, but it was very helpful to be able to come back and watch, absorb when I am not preoccupied by a project deadline. :)
Hey Tim, thank you so much, yet again for the visual design episode, it was very informative and I gained a lot in a very short period of time. Keep up the work 👍👍
Nice work! I'm impressed with your video window driving and narrating the course, how many takes did you use? Or did you edit multiple takes? My reason for asking is the narrative is seamless with so much content to deliver, it is impressive if you did this video in just a few takes. Tx
Hello Tem Slade, your content never gets old. I have an issue with the gig I am working on these days. they gave me PowerPoint to work with but they presented too much content on each slide, can you help me to resolve that issue, I mean that I am having an issue with how to present those huge content in a way that doesn't lost its meaning and still be looking good. Thank you in advance.
Century Gothic will be our heading, and now let's add a nice serif font. It sounds like wine pairing. haha Thanks for this workshop! It's really informative and presents a framework for something that can be difficult to structure.
As an ID that was *previously* a Graphic Designer and is expected to do both, I feel personally attacked. 😂 Great course though. I agree with the gist of this.
