the vocalist is so close to the studio version its actually insane. many singers cheese pitch control by using tremolo but he holds those straight notes like an absolute champ

Is this just a bad performance fluke or are they always this bad live? I’ve been wanting to see them for awhile now. The vocalist is not seeming in control of his voice and doesn’t sound like they practice very often.
They are a band that relies heavily on effects. And even though they are by far my favorite band, their live stuff sometimes suffers. And this being towards the end of the tour, Dustin’s voice suffers due to how much he has to work it. Also covid cut into a lot of their live practice time. A lot of shows one after the other. I’ve seen them at acoustic and full shows and they are phenomenal but yes Dustin really has to work to hit those notes, and just like any other band, he suffers with it sometimes.
Well, Dustin had a vocal coach and you know, Starset songs are not that easy to perform...
