Hey everyone, thank you so much for all the views and likes on this one! Just a note that I have re-filmed this video this spring as 1 continuous full ride, but this time from Santa Barbara back down to Ventura. It also includes a prologue section like this video from Ventura Harbor to the Ventura Amtrak station, where I took my bike on the train to start the ride headed south. Here's the new video: ruclips.net/video/xcgNNjJxQWg/видео.html
what a beautiful ride. I use to live in Carpinteria, they didn't have those routs when I Was living there. :) Hope anytime soon I'll go t carpas, and bring my road bike with me so I can take a small ride maybe from Carpinteria to la conchita. Nice videos.
I have to say this is the best video on the Rincon Bike Trail compared to the others on youtube. Ive been on it when I rode from San Francisco to Orange County but needed to refresh my memories because I would like to take a friend to a section of it.
I didn't really notice any encampments last year for this video or again this spring, and there were lots of other cyclists and walkers the entire way. Everyone has their own comfort level though.
Hi Josia, The gravel/dirt sections along Capinteria Bluffs Park and Tar Pits Park are an off-road alternative. The paved route is just to take Carpinteria Ave. all the way through town to Via Real.
Just over 30 miles each way. So, about 62-65 miles RT depending on if you choose from the several slightly different options through Montecito and Carpinteria.

what kind of bike were you riding?
Gravel style road bike with handlebar combo GoPro mount for filming
So its a gravel trail once you hit Carpinteria
