Disclaimer: there is an error in this video. The version of the technique I demonstrate here is not, and has never been banned. I have made a correction video demonstrating the version which has been banned, the Korean variant. Check it out. ruclips.net/video/V-_HVMaHiGQ/видео.htmlsi=VJ-Pbh0QLpUDbHvM
This isn’t reverse seoi-nage. I mean, it is _a_ reverse (ippon) seoi-nage but it’s not the version that was banned, this version was always legal. The banned version was with both hands on the same lapel (what the BJA calls a morote-eri grip), but turning outwards (away from uke).
I have since been informed that sadly, this is true. I will be releasing a correction/update/whatever soon. The actual technique in this video is cool. But my interpretation of the rules was wrong. Sadly, being blind means that there is only so much I can learn from Watching videos and reading IGF rules, I did do my research. But I was wrong. Correction coming soon.
